Ein schönes Hotel im Zentrum von York. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber, und die Rooftop-Bar ist ein echtes Highlight. Die Preise waren angemessen. Ein öffentliches Parkhaus befindet sich direkt gegenüber vom Hotel. Die Einfahrt und Ausfahrt ist täglich von 18:30 bis 08:00 sowie am Wochenende frei zugänglich, ohne dass ein Ticket benötigt wird.
Achtung: Wir hatten Probleme, das Parkhaus während der Geschäftszeiten werktags gegen 10:00 *ohne* Ticket zu verlassen. Man versuchte, uns eine Gebühr für ein verlorenes Ticket ($25) aufzuzwingen. Nach einigen Diskussionen wurde die Schranke schließlich kostenfrei geöffnet. Das Hotel ist durchaus empfehlenswert, allerdings konnten uns York und die Umgebung weniger überzeugen.

Man muss den Besitzern zugute halten, dass sie ein Haus in der Größe und von dem Alter in der Provinz noch betreiben. Normalerweise haben Städte dieser Größe nur die austauschbaren Hotels in den Gewerbegebieten am Stadtrand.

Wow, this hotel is just amazing! It underwent a 7 year renovation from 2016 until 2023. It looks new and modern while still keeping the traditional, classical look of the original hotel. ||From the git go, the staff were all awesome as well. I had several interactions with various staff members and really felt welcome and taken care of while I was there.||I opted for a junior suite instead of a full-size suite. I was traveling solo and didn't need the bigger suite. However, the junior suite was massive! It had everything one would need and I found it incredibly comfortable. There was an issue with the heating but the staff took care of most of the issues. I was never fully warm but it didn't ruin my stay and I can't wait to return.||Each evening I was at the hotel I spent a little time at the lobby bar. WOW!! Those bartenders knew what they were doing and crafted some REALLY great drinks! I'm a bourbon guy so leaned that way. The Smoked Old Fashioned was incredible!!!||Also, there are a TON of great restaurants within walking distance of The Yorktowne. Parking is across the street from the hotel in a public parking garage and is $24.00 a day (no in/out privileges). If you leave, you pay for the amount of time you were in. I actually parked and stayed there the entire time as friends were hauling me around town during my visit. All super easy.||I've attached some pictures of the junior suite and the view from my suite.

The staff at the Yorktowne are simply amazing. So kind, friendly, and helpful. Susan at the reservations desk resolved a problem with a reservation (caused by my mistakenly booking through reservations.com) with grace, good humor, professionalism, and speed! The accommodations are stunning, but in my mind what sets this hotel far above the rest is the genuinely kind and caring staff. Bravo!

The Yorktowne Hotel is a gem to find where you might least expect it! This hotel is an elite and exquisite modern tribute to the past. Kudos to Hilton for resurrecting this gem of a hotel. The city of York and Hilton should be proud. This hotel is absolutely stunning and rich in the city of York's history with an obvious respect to 1925 (the year this hotel was built) architecture. A true experience not too miss.||The hotel is spotless, the staff is courteous, polite, and very accommodating. Our bellman Dave was a sweetheart. The interior design is so well done with a touch of understated elegance. The guest room is spacious, the bathroom is well appointed and accessible. Well done!||The food at the restaurant is excellent! The restaurant which is open to the bar, lobby, and open lounge areas are comfortable, inviting, and conducive to intimate conversation. ||Congratulations Hilton, this one's a WINNER! ||Sincerely,|Pamela Sasa

Second visit to York, first time trying this hotel after a disappointing stay at a lesser hotel. This hotel has the bones of an old classic and was well modernized. I had reserved a suite, so not sure if a Diamond upgrade would've helped, but the suites were spacious and comfortable, and the room was well-appointed. Restaurant facilities and lounge was a little limited but were fine for the purposes.||Only drawback is to realize that there is no valet parking and the garage that serves the hotel is to the left and a bit funky in terms of layout and space. You also don't discover this until after you've checked in which requires a bunch of turns around a labyrinth of one way streets down.

Hotel is located in downtown with lots of options for restaurants and shops. There is a parking garage directly across the street from the hotel. It was cold and I didn’t bother to go up to the rooftop. The hotel staff was always pleasant whenever I bought stuff from the pantry. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

This was a fancy hotel for us. I mean you really just sleep there, so clean and a comfy bed does the trick, but we had other things going on for this trip. I absolutely loved the classic hotel mixed with modern, and it was comfortable. I don't sleep well, especially in hotel rooms, but the bed was pretty comfy, and I did pretty good. The staff was friendly, and so helpful to our elderly parents and family. We attending a rehearsal dinner in the hotel, and it went off without a hitch. I think everyone enjoyed their meal. We were even lucky enough to catch a beautiful sunset up at the rooftop bar, but if you want something a little quieter, the lobby bar might be better. It was a good location to go in a lot of different directions. You can even walk to a couple of breweries. Be sure to check out all the murals near Collusion in Royal Square. Very cool!
