I stayed a few days at Steigenberger Conti-Hansa and honestly didn’t want to leave. The rooms are bright, impeccably clean, and immediately comfortable. The breakfast was surprisingly good, with plenty of fresh options, and the staff were kind and quick to help with anything. The location is central, yet still peaceful, which was an extra plus. Overall, a really pleasant stay that exceeded my expectations.

Stayed here for multiple days in two different rooms. The first room was a comfort double room with harbour view. The room was located in the rear part of the building in the 6th floor. It was clean but had no air conditioning, the bed was as expected. The shower in the room was disappointing as there was no good pressure in the pipe and the water only came out of the shower head sparingly. Furthermore, the water temperature was constantly switching from warm to cold to achieve an ambient temperature. Another disappointment was the harbour view (for which you are charged extra). In fact there was no harbour view as it was blocked by the front parts of the building and the trees of the Schlossgarten. The other room I stayed in was Comfort Business Room which was located in the 2nd floor of the front part of the building. The room was clean, had air conditioning (which sometimes worked but mostly showed an error). The bed was as expected. The bathroom in this room was also a disappointment. It was almost impossible to find an ambient temperature for the shower. There was either boiling hot or freezing cold. The rooms seemed to be properly sound proof as I did not hear anything from adjacent rooms. The hotel restaurant only offers two vegan dishes (a salad and fries with ketchup) and the vegan breakfast offerings are limited but there are at least a few. The staff at the front desk and at the bar were friendly and it was possible to drop off our luggage before check in and after check out. High speed internet is only available when you register an account at hrewards and the freely offered slow internet was very slow. After all, I expected more for the price I payed.

Steigenberger Conti Hansa in Kiel is a quite reasonable hotel, both for a single night, but also for several if you want to experience Kiel and the surrounding area. The rooms are quite nice for the price, clean and tidy, and quite well maintained.

The breakfast was also quite good, with a good selection of both hot and cold dishes. Very standard, nothing beyond what you would expect.

However, the hotel is close to the hospital, which means that from time to time there is a helicopter flying low over the hotel. So if you are a light sleeper, this is not the best hotel to sleep in. In addition, the pillows are really bad, and they made my neck sore.

Apart from these things, it is a quite cozy hotel with a good location. Definitely a hotel I will visit again.

We stayed for the second time for a night ahead of a "Mein Schiff" cruise (which starts at the cruise center just across the street from the hotel).|Location is excellent also to reach the city center of Kiel with shopping and food options. Would definitely come again for our next cruise from Kiel.||Thanks again for the wonderful corner rooms for the just the single night!

The room was comfy, heating was good, hot water, even you have mini safe and mini fridge. However, they are not very responsive to complaints unless you have booked fancy rooms or suit. The breakfast is very expensive as well €25 per day.

I love Kiel Steigenberger Hotel! All fits perfectly, parking, breakfast (by far the best in Kiel), Room and Service. Been here many times. You can reach out by walk everything. Take the bigger rooms, like them more. Was there with Kids, and the spare sofa bed was also really high quality, not some cheap stuff.
