Horrible experience ...

I didn’t receive any self check-in information until on the check out date. My friends and I were not able to enter the entrance and we tried to call the 24h service number, but the staff didn’t help at all and stop answering our calls. We got stock and helpless there for over 30 mins in front of hotel door in the late night. Therefore we have to search another hotel to stay. The next morning we reached out again to the service call ask for refund since we did not use any facility and also didn’t get support from their staff. The service staff was telling me they don’t do any refund since the check in info it’s clear which it wasn’t. And after few email communications, they asked me to stop contacting them.
Therefore I want to share my experience with everyone here who might like to stay, pls make sure you have the check-in information letter and also the receipt from hotel so that you can have a digital code for enter your room.
In the end, I hope Smarty Hotel can take this problem seriously and make improvement.
I hope there is no one will have to face this horrible experience again.

WORST experience ever!!!

We arrived late, no one is answering the door bell. We called and they said they don’t have any bookings for tonight. We paid full online already. Wait for another 30 minutes while no one is answering the phone anymore. At 11pm, it is definitely the worst experience ever.

Update on April 3rd: we got an email of self-checkin instruction at 12:40am Sunday morning while we supposed to get our room on Saturday. We already got ourselves checked in at nearby hotel by then after waiting almost an hour with no one answering the phone calls. We wrote emails to the hotel with all the screenshots of the calls and their email of self checkin received time. They still insisted their instructions were very clear and claimed we were the only one who had troubles. They refused to refund after multiple emails and phone calls. How can they being so ignorant and insisting they had no fault of not providing information upfront? Definitely the WORST experience ever. They don’t even deserve one star.

Reply on April 10th: thanks for your reply. However your staff who answered the first phone call didn’t explain how to get in to the hotel after we told him we had troubles of getting in. We called the 2nd time, he said he would transfer our phone call to another person who is in charge but no one actually picking up the phone. Then we called back multiple times and no one was picking up the calls. If there’s any instructions showing on your website or like the email we got the NEXT day told us how to check in in the first place. We would not to have to argue. Simply the staff who answered the calls was not well trained but also no empathy of responsibility. In this situation, how you can keep insisting no faults on you? I truly find this logic amazing!!!

According to the room I got, it is very modernn looking, very clean, with elektronic checkin, that I like very much. But the room have no A/C, and only a smal 21watts table fan, and a small window (very small), i would recommend it in winter only....

We were informed the day of arrival (!) that this hotel would be closed because of Corona. We were then referred to an alternative 30km away (!). Once we arrived there, the reservation was non-existing. We had to look for an alternative hotel in the midst of the night. No reply from the management yet...

Very nice establishment but the lack of air con made it a terrible experience. I was purely unable to get dress in the room in the morning, I had to open the door just to be able to get some air from the corridor. Also, didn't have the smart technology advertised online.
