The vibes are excellent. Lots of great shared amenities. Love the local art, plants, community books and games, and funny selection of vhs's. I stayed in the shared bunk room as the only woman sharing the room with a couple other men and never felt weird or uncomfortable. I made several new friends while I was there. It's only 40 mins away from some great hot springs, and closer to lots of great trails. The prices are unbeatable. Highly recommend!

Had a wonderful one night stay at Simple Lodge after coming off the Colorado Trail. Lexi was so kind and listened to my story and showed caring empathy. The jar of locally roasted coffee beans was a welcome touch too make myself a coffee in the morning. Full and well-stocked kitchen, nice showers, and plenty of hanging out space. Bunk beds were surprisingly comfortable.

This was a great place to stay! Fantastic vibes from the staff, the guests, and the way the house was decorated. It was located near many wonderful hikes and in a cute little community. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen provided all I needed to prep for the next day's adventure. I would definitely stay there again!

Perfect little hostel in downtown Salida. I usually car camp but needed a good shower, place to charge my things and some laundry. This place was perfect! Clean, comfortable, both staff and guests were considerate and enjoyable. 10/10

I've stayed with these folks for many nights and it's just so cozy. This is an excellent place to stay the night when you need a warm bed and a shower after camping all week. I love them and I will always come back when I need a comfortable space to sleep.

Very charming hostel within walking distance of the river and downtown Salida. The room was clean and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay there again!
