I want to share my very poor experience with Seegut Zeppelin Hotel. Despite showing goodwill and communicating openly, I was unfairly charged for a “no‑show” and never did the hotel management consider any alternative option such as vouchers. These are wrong commercial practices.
I had made every effort to demonstrate respect for the hotel’s policies and to act in good faith. Unfortunately, instead of acknowledging this, Seegut Zeppelin chose to penalize me with a no‑show fee. This left me feeling not only disappointed but also undervalued as a guest.
Hotels thrive on building trust and loyalty with their customers. In this case, the rigid application of a policy - without consideration of the circumstances or the goodwill shown - undermined that trust. I expected more understanding and flexibility from a place that positions itself as a welcoming establishment.
This experience has discouraged me from returning, and I hope Seegut Zeppelin reconsiders how it treats guests who act responsibly and in good faith.

We had a fabulous stay here and are already hoping to come back next summer! I was getting nervous about our decision to come here in the days leading up to our stay after seeing several negative reviews. However, we all agreed it’s one of our favorite places we have stayed. The rooms are beautiful, the setting is just stunning, and it’s amazing they have such a large private waterfront property. We loved the direct access to the lake as it was warm during our visit. The food was delicious, yes it’s pricey, but it was absolutely worth eating at the restaurant and you can choose to also dine elsewhere if you want. Part of the reason we chose this hotel was so that we had a good dining option to eat some nights in. I hope to return next summer for a longer stay!

Seegut Zeppelin offers a truly picturesque setting with its lush park surroundings and direct access to the lake—complete with beach chairs for lounging in peace. The rooms themselves are beautifully designed and visually impressive, making for a stylish retreat.||However, the experience isn’t without its drawbacks. The lack of soundproofing means you might find yourself unintentionally eavesdropping on your neighbors’ conversations, which detracts from the sense of privacy. Additionally, the absence of basic amenities like a coffee maker and air conditioning is unexpected at this price point and overall level of accommodation.||Service could also use a boost—particularly at the reception desk, where the welcome was noticeably lukewarm. All in all, Seegut Zeppelin sits in a gorgeous location and has great potential, but it would benefit from more attention to comfort and hospitality to match its natural charm.

It was a great escape of pleasure to be able to relax in Seegut Zeppelin hotel and eat great food served in the near Pinus restaurant. The design of the hotel is modern and minimal and blend perfectly with nature.

The outdoor property is vast and there are plenty places to relax near the lake.

The spa is very nice and clean but perhaps small and without any jacuzzi or indoor pool.

The gym is also small but functional with new equipments.

My room with lake view was just perfect, clean, comfortable bed and spacious.

It is a new hotel or resort, I do not know how they position themselves. Nice place, nice design, very comfy bds. Beach towels are available in each room. But be aware that there is no mini fridge in the room which is not good especially when it is hot and one may want cold drinks or fruits. They do offer to put your things in the hotel fridge but it is not very convenient. If you stay long, remember that there is no laundry service. We are on the road for many days and hoped to get our things washed so it was a downer. The breakfast is a la carte and can easily come to 30 euro per person. But there is a nice bakery across the road, so no problem. No room service. Oh, only shampoo/shower gel in the bathroom. So bring your own hair conditioner.
International travelers, no English signed in the hotel. Use google translate. I guess their target audience are Germans.

This is a new establishment (summer 2024) and has some rough edges which leads me to lower overall rating. However I would be happy to come back and check if the hotel reaches its full potential. The location as well as the style of the hotel are perfect.
Examples of things to improve: illogical and partly non-functional lights switching in rooms, missing timers in saunas, insufficient or inexperienced staff in some cases (on the other hand the staff was very kind).

It was a really pleasant place, very quiet and relaxed. Everything is taken care of really well. Loved the food. Not for you if you are on a budget.

First of all: I would give 6 stars to the place if possible.
To summarise:
- beautifully located directly on the lake; super nice and quiet place to relax on a sunbathing lawn with direct access to the water (for awesome swims) and a restaurant with amazing views of the lake + mountains
- very BABY friendly; we travelled with a 10 month old and everyone was super friendly and they even had a stokke high chair + play room
- very nice and delicious food (especially if you want a break from meat); all from local places (yes, a bit expensive, but worth it for the high quality)
- very spacious, clean and modern rooms (the only minor hiccup is that there is no AC..... the rooms are supposed to stay at 20 degrees, which was true for us, but it was "only" 26 degrees outside (not sure what happens at 30+)

All in all definitely the best place to enjoy the Bodensee (we looked at many other hotels in the area) with a nice spa, sauna and gym.
Note: you might find some 1 star reviews which made me a bit nervous too, but after reading them you quickly realise that people just want to harm the hotel.......also one review gave only 3 stars because a light switch did not work properly.....well if you seriously prioritise that over a breathtaking view right on your doorstep no one can help you here 🙂 (Same goes for the extra parking fees).

Can only recommend Seegut Zeppelin for families, but also for couples who want to spend some quality time at Lake Constance (you will not find a better place in this price range).
