This is an older hotel and unfortunately not what I would consider a 4 star hotel. Hotel has a nice view over the city but it is a little more difficult to get to, having to use either a taxi/uber or the funicular when it is open (winter house are limited). The rooms are very small and the bed is quite firm. Doesn’t quite live up to what we were hoping for in a one night stay in Heidelberg

In fact, I was there invited to attend a private party, but I was positively surprised
The hotel has a wonderful location within a forest of green trees and a stunning view, especially at sunset. The hotel offers a good level of food dishes and the service was not bad in addition to the cleanliness of the hotel facilities. I recommend visiting the hotel

Excellent hotel for a romantic getaway. Fairly small, but very clean and well-equipped rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The view from the terrace and the rooms on the side of the Neckar is absolutely gorgeous. This does mean, however, that you are halfway up the mountain, so if you do not have a car, you can either use the funicular or a taxi, as walking is not an option.

What a fun place to stay! The view could not be better and it is literally steps from Heidelberg Castle. The breakfast is excellent. Our room was spacious and well equipped with recent modern updates. Had the great fortune to enjoy a drink in the midst of a wedding reception (that we weren’t attending) and loved the welcoming experience!

I was at a wedding on the weekend. The hotel is actually really nice. The personal is really friendly.
But as they advertise they are a 4 stars hotel, they should take care of some small things. As I also come from the hotel branch I noticed that the waiters didn't really care about the glass they used to serve wine. White wine was served on red wine glasses and the other way around too.
There are some things that should be considered when in a 4 stars hotel, and many were not really followed.
Besides that, the decoration was really nice, and the table was well set up.

The location is very nice, the staff friendly and attentive. And the view is gorgeous.

Dated facilities, mediocre food and a network infrastructure inappropriate for a location that wants to qualify as conference hotel in modern today, left a lot to be desired though.

Special hotel on top of the hill where the castle is. Free
parking. The staff is nice and attentive. The rooms are comfortable and have everything one needs. Had a room with a view over Heidelberg which was nice. The restaurant is also nice, food is lovely with a good wine selection(could be better though)
On foot it takes 20-25 minutes to the old town, although there is a funicular or bus that go directly up and down up to 5 p.m. Taxi is 10EUR.

It's a well known place in the region due to it's historical relevance. Didn't used the hotel rooms, have been there only for an afternoon meeting of friends/family. The building got long in the tooth meanwhile and may need some structural renovation. Nevertheless it has a great view from the outside seating on the terrace, which is a sufficient reason to have a visit here. Served pastries and sandwiches were just ok but not extraordinary. Recommend it for warm season to sit outside.
