ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!
Stayed here for 8 days. Clean rooms, very quiet and peaceful! Breakfast area had everything I needed and was asked each morning if I would like eggs, how many, and how did I want the prepared. Maybe I am just tired of the sterile corporate atmosphere of every other motel chain I have been in but this motel staff made this place a home for me. I enjoyed the actual human interaction with the staff and the way I was treated. Restaurant food was AMAZING! When my wife arrive at day 5 she asked if we could stay the next 3 days while we toured Cologne. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

A bit of an unusual experience. The room was large and beautiful. Bathroom was newly renovated and 1st class. The place is great for a business trip, but it's not romantic at all, except for the location. Breakfast was aldo amazing. I paid a corporate rate, and for this it was really worth it. I've seen complaints from other guests about the prices, and see what the regular price would have been for my stay. It's definitely not worth that kind of money.

The restaurant was closed due to lack of guests. The hotel was also basically empty. It was unusual when the owner told me at check-in that the restaurant was upstairs. When I came down for dinner, I discovered it was actually closed.

The place is really good, if you can get it for €100 a night.

I was accommodated here during a work trip and it is below average for a 4-star hotel. It was 6°C at night and there was no heating. I had 3 other colleagues staying at the hotel and none of them had heating. Due to the gas crisis, several hotels are fixing the temperature at 18-20°C without an option to increase the temperature and this is acceptable, but having no heating at all with 6°C outside is absolutely unacceptable. The bathroom window had no shutter or curtain. Soap and cream were provided in small plastic bottles. May be install dispensers out of consideration for the environment. There was only one lady attending to guests at breakfast. She was occupied preparing eggs for one table. My colleagues and I were in the hurry in the morning. One of my colleagues could not even find hot water for tea and was waiting for that one lady to come out of the kitchen, so that we could ask her for hot water. Just a bad stay.

We had a reservation for 30 people to have Sunday brunch - fathers 90th birthday. Reservation was appointed for 10.30. When we arrived at 10.30 the arrangement of the tables was not as discussed with the host. After a short discussion with the staff we rearranged them ourselves - no help from the staff. Counting the dishes on the table we realized there were just 25 of them. The owner asked us to be calm - at 11.30 the guests of the hotel would finish their breakfast and enough places would be available? One hour after the time to which agreed? Not a nice experience. Food for breakfast was average quality, price for a brunch with no specials except a pumpkin soup, smoked salmon and sliced roast beef was high at 40 EUR per person. No recommendation here.

The hotel was clean, quiet, friendly, beautiful and the staff were helpful.||The room had all of the facilities which one would expect, was spacious and clean.||Parking was plentiful and easy and the Wi-Fi was fast and strong. This was a positive as the Vodafone data signal was not strong.||HOWEVER, what made this visit exceptional was meeting the owner and her son. They did everything in their power to make sure that I was happy. I thank them for this and recommend their hotel to others.||Simply excellent.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights for a get away/spa retreat. We took advantage of the Relaxation 2.0 package and extended the package an extra night:||||"Early check in" from 11:00 clock in the morning||a cozy bathrobe and sauna towels are provided in the room for you||a day ticket for the sauna and spa oasis “Mediterana” (Germany's most beautiful sauna)||two nights including breakfast buffet||a 3-course romantic dinner in our restaurant "Waldstuben"||||We chose the middle room price "romantic" and we were pleased with the room (#25) with a nice view of the Bensberg Castle. The large room was very comfortable and nicely appointed. The bathroom (tub with hand held shower though no standing room) and WC were seperate.||Breakfast each morning was very good and the dinner was excellent. It included a very nice serving of tender filet mignon among creative & tasty first and second courses. ||||The hotel itself felt like a well cared for upscale skiers lodge. It seems to be very well run with the family members intertwining their resposibilities in a comfortable friendly manner.||||Reasons for 4 rating instead of 5:||"Cozy bathrobe & sauna towels "were not provided in room, but for an extra price in the lobby.||At dinner we were told that drinks were included, then received a bill for 50€ at check out.||Matress was too soft for both of us and bath ceiling was just too low.||||We do recommend this hotel especially when the weather is warmer for a hike in the hills adjacent to the property.
