I have actually stayed there twice. It's a great base for exploring the Black Forest Area. We have stayed in the family rooms both times, one up stairs and one downstairs with a small kitchenette. Each stay was fantastic! Theres is also a nice restaurant in the hotel. The owners are really warm and friendly and they even helped us translate the menu. The food is amazing! ||Breakfast is what you expect from German hotels; Fresh bread and cold cuts, cheese eggs, yogurt and cereal. They also have milk, juice and tea. But what I really liked was that they also bring you fresh coffee to your table and I thought that was a nice touch. ||There was plenty of parking outside the hotel and the wifi was free and we never had any problems connecting. I can't speak about the local town as we just used the hotel as a base. ||

We spent a week at the Pferdekoppel which we booked mainly as my eldest daughter loves to ride. She went three times in the week we were there. My husband and I went hiking through the forest, a wonderful, magical place to walk. There are also marvellous cycling paths in the area. The hotel was very clean, comfortable and the owners and staff are lovely. We ate in the restaurant several times and the food was excellent as was breakfast every morning. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you to the Mullers for making us so welcome.

Stayed here the 2nd day of our mountainbike tour. Very spacious room and gorgious balcony view.|Restaurant in the gasthouse serves delicious meals, we had some fresh hunted deer which was the best.|Breakfast was the usual german style. Fresh rolls and such. ||Free wifi but didnt use it

The family run Hotel Pferdekoppel is located in a little Black Forest village called Besenfeld and seems an ideal place if you want some peace and quiet. We were there for an extended weekend in May and spent our time hiking (and running) the trails in the surrounding forest. There are other activities available, e.g. carriage rides or horse-back riding.||||The rooms are larger than average, with a balcony, and the restaurant provides solid German food, with a few special dishes that show the chef's (and owner's) background, e.g. his time in Columbia.||||Great get-away for an extended weekend.

Our stay was very nice and comfortable.
Pferdekoppel is a very good hotel with a beautiful view, nice rooms and good food.
We also loved the breakfast each morning.
Congratulations to the people who run the hotel!
We probably will return if possibility is there.

Amazingly warm atmosphere. Love the welcome feeling and the friendly people with great food, with big spacious rooms. Will visit this place again as well as recommended this place as much as possibly can!!!
