Stayed here for 2 nights with breakfast on our first day there.||Double room we stayed in was very nice and seemingly a new addition to the more traditional main part of the hotel.||Nice decor with some interesting pieces. Cool bathroom with wet-room style walk in shower. Samsung TV on the wall and bottled sparkling water. The double bed was actually two single beds pushed together though which was a little annoying.||The breakfast was nice in general, the bacon they have is incredible. Good service by the staff in the restaurant, though they close on sundays for food and drink for some reason. Selection of food at breakfast could have been better but it was adequate.||Staff were very friendly and mostly spoke very good English. Managed to borrow a UK/EU plug adaptor from behind reception too for free which was nice. ||Very close to train station that gets you into elmshorn and on to bigger cities for a cheap price.||The area it's in is very nice and peaceful. Price for the room was a little high for what you get I thought, but it was nice all the same and I'd stay there again if I was in the area.

I chose this hotel to support the local community. My colleague had a different one but I wanted to try this one. I have liked the clean room, even the glass did not have any fingerprints or stains. Breakfast was ok, no use of doing to much food but I'd like some sausages (wurst are like german thing). Good parking place at the back. Near there is a supermarket. Rooms very bright and cosy. One thing that I would give a minus: for not a german speaker it's hard to know what's going on when you try to check in (doors are closed, and any info is in german I had a friend to help with this).

This was a lovely hotel to stay at. The room was massive and clean. The food was great. We had a buffet breakfast in the morning which had heaps of options. The service was wonderful. ||||The hotel was surrounded by flowers, which was really pretty.||||My husband booked this hotel in Elmshorn so that we could travel back and forth to Wacken (I didn't want to camp) I had my doubts about the proximity of getting from the hotel to Wacken and back however just down the road (20m) was the Langenmoor stop which was about 2 minutes train ride from the Elmshorn train station then from there is was about 1/2 hour to either Itzehoe or Hamburg. As soon as you get off the train you just have to walk out and get the shuttle to Wacken. On the way back we had to catch a taxi from Elmshorn to the hotel (about 50euro) because trains don't run that late.

We stayed at the Hotel Im Winkel for 1 night while visiting family in the area and were quite impressed. Sure, like many smaller hotels, Im Winkel is located in the middle of a residential area and was a little bit of a challenge to find. As another reviewer stated, definitely let the nav system do the work for you.||For starters, parking is plentiful and free - yes... free. You can park on the street or there is a larger parking lot behind the hotel.||The staff is very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. As a native German speaker, I had no issues communicating. Checking in and making reservations for breakfast the next morning was a breeze.||We had reserved a room with 2 double beds and were quite surprised when our room(s) actually consisted of two separate rooms, each with its own bed. I guess something got lost in the translation when I was making reservations but overall, the rooms and bathroom were clean, comfortable and modern.||Breakfast was a full, German buffet with eggs cooked to order for us. As with most German restaurants, there was no rush to finish and get out of the way and once again, the staff was wonderful.||I would recommend the Hotel Im Winkel.|

Not the easiest to find but let the SatNag do the work for you. Language can be a challenge if you don't speak German but I believe they could speak more than they let on.||Room was brilliant. Clean and spacious. Great bathroom and includes a urinal - a first for me in any hotel room...||Restaurant food is very good, beer equally so. All in all a great place except for one slight fly in the ointment - the proximity of the railway line. The line runs at the back of the hotel and whilst passenger services stop at a reasonable hour, freight doesn't. If you're a light sleeper it could be a problem in the summer, with the windows open.||Would I stay again? Without a doubt.

This is a lovely hotel with a fabulous breakfast with great service. It was a highlight of our trip. Very clean and comfortable. Rooms are not huge but adequate. Very picturesque town. No problem with communication in English.
