Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten - Bad Krozingen

I recommend this hotel if you’re planning to be out most of the day. It is more affordable so you can use your money elsewhere.

LATE CHECK IN

We are given a code to enter the hotel and our rooms because there is no staff at night. This was quite easy.

+ though there was no staff when we arrived, there was useful information all over the hotel

DOG-FRIENDLY

+ For a fee, you can bring your dog. We paid 60 euros for 4D/3N
+ They gave dog bowls
- They charged us for 2 dogs instead of just one, but they reversed the charge

ROOMS

We got 2 rooms and each one was different. One was on the 1st floor with a small balcony and the other was in the 3rd floor with a large balcony.

+ spacious rooms and bathrooms
- Inconsistent room amenities. One room has a ref, another has a welcome kit
+ German-style separate mattress & duvet
- Only 1 pillow per guests
- German-style square pillows so I didn’t sleep well for 3 nights. The staff only told me later that they had normal pillows for tourists! This information would have been nice at the beginning of the stay.
+ lots of storage
+ nice balconies
- Balconies are only separated by glass or a flower pot (don’t leave your doors open at night in the summer) and ours on the 3rd floor was dirty
- Chiller in our room froze our drinks & we couldn't figure out the setting
+ adjustable lamp with MagSafe chargers
- thin towels with some tattered
- Some corners or behind bathroom door was dusty but it’s understandable with only 2 cleaners.

FOOD
+ 24/7 room with vending machines, plates and glasses & microwave so we could eat here without stinking up the room
- Vending machine ran out of sparkling water
- Breakfast was okay & space is a bit tight.
- I wish they would restock on the croissants which was the best thing they had. I had it with butter & cream cheese.

STAFF
+ The staff were really nice in the hotel and a couple spoke English. But even those who didn’t were helpful and warm.

Hotel is nice, good location and staff friendly and helpful. However that's when you see the staff whichis usuallyin themorning. I checked in online as requested, was informed that I will get a code for door and room. I thought it is to make thecheck in process more efficient. I came in the afternoon and couldn't get inside the building, which need the code to get in. Finally some other guests came and I got in the building, and the hotel doesn't have reception to check you in. There is only a German phone number, which I don't want to call as it is an international call for me. There is email which I could send, but nobody answered. I don't know what to do to check in. Finally I found the code in email from hotel in my spam folder and managed to find my room. It's not clear that without the code nothing you can do. I think as a hotel some human intervention maybe needed

We used the hotel as emergency accommodation on the way back from skiing. Despite booking in late, we were surprised by the friendliness and flexibility of the reception staff and the accommodation itself. Definitely excellent value for money in the low season. Recommended!

Excellent value for money. Quiet, clean, comfortable, easy to check in and out. I really appreciate online check in and the codes we received to get in the building and in the room. We asked for electric kettle and we received it. Breakfast was nice, too. Staff was very kind and nice but, this hotel is a lot about guest independence so, I do not need anyvody at the reception all the time. I also used the chatbot on hotels pages to confirm some basic info and all worked well.

We booked a studio apartment at short notice and it was marvellous. It could easily host a family of four and was nicely decorated with a fantastic kitchen diner living room arrangement, separate bath room, a great bathroom with a bath tub and a wet area. The balcony was fantastic and offer some views of the surrounding area but there were no specific landmarks to be had in the view. ||||Bad Krozingen is close to Freiburg and the Black Forest and the KONUS card that comes with the tax one pays as a hotel guest allows to travel on all public transport within a wide perimeter. It got us to the Titisee so you get a good deal from staying even further afield and in smaller towns in the area. We visited a relative in the rehabilitation clinics in fact only a quarter of a mile away from our location and it was a great respite for that person to come to our place. ||||The hotel has a lovely breakfast buffet that is not overstocked and serves healthy food. Overall the hotel offered an excellent experience and I'd repeat it any time.

I spent a week at the Vier Jahreszeiten. The staff were very friendly. I had a very large room on the second floor with a balcony. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom with Italian shower was very practical. Everything was spotless. The breakfasts are great with a large choice of fresh produce. There is a free parking space outside the hotel. Be aware that it is not very large and that it fills up quite fast in the evenings... I would definitely come back to the Vier Jahreszeiten should I visit Bad Krozingen again.

We stayed two nights here in August and had a wonderful time. The hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet. The pool area was great with pool floats and toys for the kids to play with and lots of seating for tanning. The restaurants were good and the staff was very helpful. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Very good location just Kurpark at the back door, nearby spa and closed to train station. Very clean and big room. Good breakfast in a beautiful room. Very quiet and good for relax and rest.
