We stayed only one night at this hotel, but it was truly a lovely experience. Everything was clean, well-organized, and thoughtfully prepared just in last minutes they changed our room cuz of a problem of the room The atmosphere was calm and welcoming the location is one the best location and the staff were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was especially nice — fresh, delicious, and a great way to start the day. We’re really grateful for the hospitality, and if we visit this city again, we would happily choose this hotel once more. 🌸✨

Beware all those of limited mobility, like myself, with this hotel. My recent visit in September was not great. |If in a wheelchair, you somehow have to make contact with reception, because you cannot get in the front door without them coming out with a ramp. I struggled with the step into reception, which was also a Costa Coffee shop. You book in and are directed behind the reception, across what used to be a drop-off point in times gone by, by way of another large step, to Rooms 70 and 71.|The two rooms for disabled are in what I saw as, and found out actually were, the Servants Quarters. The corridor was undecorated, dimly lit (the movement light came once upon reaching room 70 and not before), and littered with decorating equipment, ladders and other such trip hazards. Room was tired but okay. The wet room was great, everything needed, including a shower stool. However, the bed was up against the wall on one side, making entry extremely difficult, and a wheelchair could only get to the end of the bed, not beside it, so an arduous struggle for anyone with limited mobility. |The pictures show the mess, the proximity to an often used door, which meant no opening of windows during the night, a necessity due to the heat coming from the bathroom as it backs onto a boiler room. |A movement detection light activated at various points of the night, shining into the window very brightly. The toilet was constantly running, and the only help i got with that was "try fiddling with the flush buttons". And if this wasn't bad enough, workmen started noisy work on the window next to mine at 7am!|I didn't ask to be moved as this was the only one of the two accessible rooms available. |I have spent a month in discussions with the hotel, receiving a cursory apology, that the rooms are up to the relevant codes of practice in Germany for accessible rooms, b l ah blah. No refund or even partial refund offered. They are now just ignoring all emails. I've given them the right to reply for the last two weeks, but nothing satisfactory. |Basically, if you want good service, forget this hotel. If you want an accessible room, forget this hotel. It's a shame, as the staff were friendly and helpful. The management obviously don't care quite as much.

Breakfast terrible !!! I don’t know how the guests said that is good !

Full of insects everywhere, the iogurte was getting warm , salad was looking from 3 days ago , was hard to speak in English with the breakfast service staff…
Please don’t take it there is no higiene on it ! There is a lot of breakfast coffee around or you can ask in Uber eats…

I stayed in this beautiful hotel for 5 days. The staff was exceptional - reception, restaurant and housekeeping, all did amazing job, were polite, positive and went extra mile to make me feel comfortable. I loved the original features of the building with modern furniture and facilities. Be mindful - breakfast is chargeable, a bit expensive in my opinion, not much vegan options. Location very convenient. Highly recommend!

A friend and I booked through Expedia to stay here during a recent interrail trip. We booked a twin room for 2 nights.||The hotel is in a convenient location with great transport links to get around the city. It’s a short ten minute ride on the tram from outside of the main station. The area seemed safe and clean with a good selection of places to eat, drink and shop.||The staff at the hotel were really nice and very approachable and chatty which was nice. My review has no reflection on the people who work here.||Be under no illusion, this place comes across as more of a hostel than a hotel. It’s incredibly basic and very, VERY shabby. The rooms are in desperate need of updating and the hotel corridors and public areas are constantly clogged with trolleys full of dirty linen.||Our room was clean (aside from lots of cobwebs) and the beds were comfortable enough. the pillows are lumpy and desperately need replacing. The bathroom was also nice and bright and there were toiletries and plenty of towels.||If you’re just looking for somewhere to sleep and nothing else, then this place is doable for a couple of nights. The rooms are incredibly depressing however and if you’re looking for a hotel to enjoy, then this place isn’t for you.||Also be aware that EXTENSIVE renovations are taking place to the building. I also saw this mentioned in previous reviews. They are all correct about the noise and disturbance. ||It’s covered in scaffolding and the men begin work from 6:45am. We were awoken both mornings just before 7am by banging, clattering, drilling and shouting from men quite literally at the window. I feel that this should be advised to people before booking. Our sleep was massively disturbed because of it which really impacted on our stay.||Would I choose to stay here again Probably not. The room was misrepresented based on the photos available on the website. It’s not a hotel that you would want to spend time in. There are other properties available at similar prices that I feel would be in a much better state of repair and far more appealing.
