The location is good, across the road from the beach and the visitor centre. Friendly reception. The room was recently renovated and comfortable to sleep in. It was enough for me travelling solo. They offer tea coffee amenities in the room with a kettle. They have an excellent breakfast, I loved their fresh bakery items and there was enough for my vegetarian needs. They also had a lot of meat options but I didn’t partake of those. They give a printout of the day’s options in Cuxhaven on the table which I felt was very thoughtful. I was there for one night and leaving after breakfast so couldn’t make much use of their daily planner. Would definitely stay here again if I go to Cuxhaven again.

For us this was the perfect place to stay when we wanted to visit Cuxhaven, Neuwerk Island and Heligoland. The hotel has its own car park to the rear with barrier at the entrance. The lady on reception was welcoming and helpful, even walking us to our room. Our room was one floor lower than reception and at the back of the hotel. There is a lift as well as stairs. Our room was in effect, on the ground floor with a sizeable patio area no one else could access. The room was of generous proportions and was the lobby and bathroom. The room was decorated to give it a seaside feel but not ott. Lots of storage space, a nice sofa, dressing table, room safe and fridge. Everywhere was spotless. Even “the boss” took his turns on reception and helped with bookings for us. A booking he wasn’t certain of, he made a note and the tickets were waiting for us later that day. The reception stag spoke enough English for us to get by with some speaking g fluent English. This is not the same for all Herman hotels. We were impressed enough for me to write this over breakfast at our next stop wanting to get out for the day. Oh, and very reasonably priced we thought. Would we stay here again? Certainly. The location was easy to find and was right on the main seafront road.

We were lucky to get a room at short notice during August. Very pleasant and attentive staff showed us all the facilities. The rooms are quaint, quiet and clean with lovely beds and a small but adequate shower-room with window. There is enough wardrobe space and even a coat-rack at the entrance of the room to hang up outdoor jackets. ||We enjoyed the ample breakfast which is served in a bright, welcoming room and were supplied with a filled thermos coffee-jug (no fee!) to have another coffee later in the room.||The Hotel also has a small bar to enjoy a drink later in the evening. Smoking is allowed in this bar which will please those guests who otherwise would have to stand in the cold outside. ||Due to the proximity to Cuxhaven-Duhnen centre, the beach and all Shops / Restaurants are in a very short Walking distance.||The Hotel has an adequate parking free of Charge at the back of the Hotel, so there is no Problem parking in the town.
