We stayed here for a long weekend. It was a tough week for the people in the area since we came just after the floods happened in Rhineland-Palatinate area.

We came to the hotel and enjoyed our stay in the area. There are a few things that can improve, but we are satisfied overall. It has a great location, a very nice & modern design for both restaurant and hotel.

>THE RESTAURANT : Nice decor, creative menu under the hands of the chef/ owner. We ordered the tasting menu with wine pairing. Some items were not my cup of tea, but we enjoyed our dinner very much.

>THE ROOMS: they’re super spacious and nicely decorated. The bathrooms are super new and in mint condition. There was even a walking closet + crib in our room. That’s nice so if a kid comes in the future, we could stay here again hehe 😜. A few things to improve: our room was next to the entrance so we could hear everything. It was all coming from the door, so maybe consider that in the future. The bed was on the harder side for us, but this is a matter of personal choice. I should have requested 2 more pillows earlier, since the ones we had were too soft and we didn’t sleep well the first night.

>LOCATION: it is on the main road in case you want to go to other villages around, but don’t worry. It won’t get loud or annoying by traffic.
We were able to do all of our wine tastings and shopping around the area and put everything in the trunk of the car with no problem. That’s how convenient and close everything is!

>BREAKFAST: Very complete and balanced breakfast. Either it is for a full warm meal, a cold meal, or a healthy meal, everyone can get their choice. (And of course, you cannot miss HAGESLAG if you’re coming from the Netherlands. Nicely done by the Dutch owner!)

In summary, we would rate this hotel a 7/10 .

Our room was huge! It was clean and the bath area was very large (finally a hotel with enough shelf space) We only had a few negative things that aren't even bad things. We were with our bikes there and the open shed that you park your bike in was also the trash area and it stunk like rotten garbage! Really bad! Breakfast started at 8, which for us and maybe others that need to get going earlier a bit too late.

Overnight as couple travelling with ebikes:
Although the location was excellent and the room confortable, we unfortunately can’t say the same for the rest.
We found out that the restaurant was closed during our stay and despite numerous attempts to obtain alternative suggestions for dinner from the management/reception, neither replied to the our emails until the last minute. Not reactive! In the meantime, we had reserved in Piesport (5-6 km) away.
Upon arrival around 15:30, we were shown to our room and to the wooden shed to put away our ebikes.
The manager or owner at last indicated a number of restaurants nearby but I told him that I would discuss with my wife and decide later as we didn’t want another Pizzaria…
After a fresh up, my wife and I went to the bike shed at 17:10 to collect our bikes but it was locked.
As a result we went to the reception but that too was locked despite the notice showing OPEN till 18:00.
So we phoned the two numbers listed on the notice to explain the situation but the manager was extremely unfriendly and didn’t want to return to open shed saying everybody had arrived…
Well, I had to threaten him by mentioning I would break open his shed to retrieve our bikes and to recharge the batteries…
At last, he reacted and came back at 17:55 to reopen his shed.
His attitude was appalling.
If there had been a coded lock on the door like the hotel entrance there wasn’t any problem.
Breakfast was “acceptable”with an unfriendly waitress that needs to learn to greet guests and smile.

The experience you get here at Lekker is a must try! The food is so delicious, beautiful for the eye and so tasty. I really recommend anyone to go here, you won't be disappointed.

Lovely modern hotel in a traditional building with great breakfast.

The restaurant was lovely and well worth pre-booking to make sure you can get in!
