I’m at this hotel right now and find the location very convenient to go to the town centre, 11 minutes comfortable walk. My room is pleasant with a queen size bed, closet, and the bathroom with a big enough shower. The room and the bathroom are very clean. The staff and the owner are very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast gives you a good choice of different kinds of bread, cold cuts, cheese, jam etc. You can opt for any type of egg, boiled, scrambled or sunny side up. The hotel has a fairly big parking. Last not least - the price is very interesting.

My family has been coming here for many years. It was only my second time, last time in 2005, and so I had not seen the updated hotel since ownership changed.||||I was really impressed. We got one of the renovated rooms to the back. It was huge, quiet, and super clean. It does not have a lot of charm, but it was modern and crisp. I liked that a water kettle, coffee, and tea was provided so I could have a coffee first thing after getting up. By the way, I had the most comfortable mattress. I slept so well.||||The breakfast was really good. Breads, rolls, cold cuts, cheeses, jams etc., cereals, coffee choices out of an automatic coffee machine (choices of cappuccino, latte, ...), teas, and juices.||The owner makes your eggs the way you like them, freshly in front of you. Very nice.||||The service overall was really good. We will definitely stay here again, and I understand now why my family always does.

We picked this hotel partly because of its location. We looked for a hotel within walking distance of restaurants (in addition to the hotel restaurant) and the city center, where there are many things to do. I am certainly glad that we chose this one! This hotel is also very near the hospital St. Antonius, where there is, according to one of the guests, a cancer treatment procedure that can only be found in 3 hospitals in the country.||||We were a bit early, but still greeted warmly at the door by the owner. He then offered us a cup of coffee, and sat and chatted with us while we enjoyed it. Shortly, there was a room ready, and he helped with our bag.||||The room was spacious and modern, even the floor in the bathroom sported under tile heating. We had a great view overlooking the city in the distance. There is parking on site and off the road, and it is included in the rate.||||Sadly, the cook for the restaurant was not well, but we were offered an alternative cook to come in if we wanted it. Instead, we drove (it was raining) to the center and enjoyed a very delicious German grill plate.||||Breakfast was as others have shared...fresh eggs to order, fresh bakery items (I had a delicious croissant) an assortment of meats and fresh fruit either to enjoy apart or cut up on the cereal that was also offered.||||All of this, for a very reasonable price. We will be booking here in the future, when we are in the area!

Mattress wasn't comfortable.. essential stuff are missing in the room.. no dresser, no drawers, no mini bar..
With the price paid for one double room, you can find much better quality in the area.

Excellent hotel, recently enlarged. Very well, and tastefully equipped. Very friendly owners. They provide a breakfast buffet and boil or fry your eggs to taste! It is situated at the entrance to the city, the centre of which is a 10 minutes walk. All in all very much recommended. The 8.8 awarded by Tripadvisor is way too low!

I had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. ||||The staff go out of their way to ensure their guests are happy and content. They take customer service to a level that is almost extreme.||||For example when I indicated I required a Taxi the owner of the hotel recommended one for me. Later, when that taxi company let me down, the owner of the hotel took this very personally as if it was HIS failure and not the taxi company.||||He rang the company and negotiated a discount on my hotel room rate which the taxi company was to pay. ||||This and many other things made me feel like this hotel is run by a group of people who genuinely care that people staying on their property have a pleasant time.||||I found Gronau itself to be a highly pleasant town. Wide open spaces and streets, relaxed atmosphere and lovely to be in. I would recommend the town, and this hotel, to anyone who is anywhere near the area. Those planning to travel to Enschede, as I was, will find this a better and more pleasant place to stay rather than in Enchede itself. ||||Trains only a few minutes walk from this hotel go into Enschede every 30 minutes and take only 11 minutes to make the journey. ||||Will be staying here again.

This hotel is really nice to stay in when you spend some time in Gronau.|The host is extremely kind and always willing to lend a hand if needed, parking spaces are right next to the hotel for free and a gas station is next to that.|The rooms are very clean and comfortable and equipped with a big flat screen TV, WiFi is included in the price.|Breakfast is definitely good, there is everything one may need, like bread, rolls, fruit, cheese and meat, different kinds of cornflakes as well as tea and coffee. Different variations of eggs are personally prepared by the boss of the hotel.|I can definitely recommend this hotel.
