We were absolutely exhausted after traveling back from Romania to the UK, and we really needed a good night’s rest. Most of the hotels we stayed at during our trip to Romania were just awful — honestly, it would’ve been better to sleep in the car! So I wasn’t exactly looking forward to staying anywhere else.

But then my partner found this place, and I have to say — it was the best night’s sleep I’ve had in ages. I slept right through the night! Everyone here was so lovely and friendly. We even enjoyed a nice cold beer on arrival, which was the perfect way to end the night.

We’ll definitely be coming back the next time we travel this way. Highly recommend it — thank you for the wonderful stay!

Very nice and calm surroundings. Great service and friendly. Excellent rooms, very clean and stylish in a sympathetic way. Good breakfast with brewed coffee served at the table. A place to remember.Only 30 minutes from Bamberg by car.

Overall it was a great experience, everyone was very friendly. The hotel rooms are a bit older but very well maintained and very very clean. Windows have mosquito nets. Large room. The bed was very comfortable, more on the harder side which I like. Also had dinner at the restaurant, also very good. Breakfast is included in the room price and was excellent. Nothing fancy but a bit of everything.

Free private parking lot on site, some with cover.

Tip: get a better price by booking directly on their website.

Excellent family-run hotel in a peaceful location near Bamberg. Recently renovated rooms are spacious, modern, and well-appointed with quality bathrooms. The restaurant is a highlight, serving exceptional Franconian cuisine. The hotel offers a comprehensive breakfast buffet and features a lovely beer garden overlooking a pond. Service is consistently attentive and warm, with the owners personally engaged in ensuring guest satisfaction. Located 45km from Nuremberg Airport, it's an ideal base for exploring the region or as a relaxing stopover. Perfect blend of traditional hospitality and modern comfort.

Had a good sleep, but the food was even better! The schnitzel was delicious. The room was very clean and had a good bed. Only downside that we heard the frogs sometimes, but that is nature😃. The staff is very friendly and helpful . Close to the A3.

Such a lovely place! Great location near the motorway, still in a quiet village. Rooms are modern, super comfy, fresh and clean. Service was very welcoming and kind, we didn't try the restaurant as arrived late but breakfast was excellent.
We loved our stay and will surely be back!

We have been visiting this Gasthof for years now and it has always been great. It is situated in a sleepy little town, close to the highway A3. From Rasthof Steigerwald (A3) it’s just a 2 minute drive. Inside and outside it has a real German look. Some rooms are a little outdated but there’s a renovation planned for May this year. The rooms are spotless and have everything you need. The restaurant serves delicious dishes, also real German. Very high quality. Also a great choice of wines (open and bottles). The breakfast is nice, served in a modern, clean space. You can choose from different breads, fruits, yoghurts, juices and it’s also possible to have an egg baked the way you like it. The owners are the most friendly people and will do everything to make your stay pleasant. ||This Gasthof is great for an overnight stay if your travelling further but it’s also nice for a weekend if you’re visiting Bamberg for example.

I’ve been to this hotel so many times and it’s always a pleasure! It’s really close to the highway so it’s easy to reach. The rooms are recently renovated and they look modern. It’s always very clean. The food is outstanding. Real good german cuisine. Breakfast is included and is of good quality. Last but not least; the owners are very friendly and helpful. So, if you’re looking for a place to stay in this area, don’t hesitate to choose this hotel!
