Everything was great except the hand towels. How much does it cost to replace hand towels? I would have happily rated 4 or even 5, if the hand towels in the shower did not look like old worn out rugs. Some rooms have windows opening to restaurant side but if we close the windows, there is no noise. Ample parking space available in front and behind the hotel (free). Overall the stay was nice and comfortable.

My husband and I spent here two nights while visiting Europa Park.||Let me start by saying that I do not book hotels on online platforms due to my profession and I prefer direct bookings. I emailed this hotel and was offered better price than on booking.com. Not many hotels do that and those I emailed and didn't offer anything better, I did not even consider. Anyways, arrival was smooth, plenty of free parking right outside of the hotel in a nice, quiet and safe area. Check-in was fast and friendly.||Our room was not that big but at the same time quite spacious. You can tell it was renovated. There was no carpet which I really appreciated! Comfortable bed, good pillows, lots of lighting, fast wifi!, complimentary wated and everything was clean. The only thing we were missing was a small refrigerator. ||Breakfast was OK, nothing special but then again, plentiful as we do not eat much in the mornings anyways. ||We really enjoyed our stay here and the staff was very friendly and helpful.||Only thing I have to say was disappointing was the cleaning during our stay. When we arrived our room was spotlessly clean. Unfortunately, the next day, before we left for Europa Park, my husband ran to the car for things we forgot in and stepped in some dog poop. He did not notice until I saw it on the bathroom floor. We were in a hurry so I cleaned up most of it but figured the floor will be mopped during the day. When we got back in around midnight, the floor was not mopped 🙁 You could clearly see the poop stains so I cleaned them before getting in the shower. ||Other than that, I can recommend this hotel to anyone as we really liked it.

I like this Hotel, for room, proximity to Trsin Station, and restaurant below, with nice patio.
Unfortunately, they do not seem to work very coordinated, and restaurant service is not very nice according to who attends you.
Some of personal are very rude.

Good hotel. The breakfast not included with the room, but not that expensive. Clean rooms, fresh and confortable. Advisable for business trips or if looking for quiet rest.

We loved our stay at Hotel am Westend. We booked through travelocity and changed our reservation several times, the staff was extremely accommodating. The room was spacious and comfortable. ||||We stayed here during out trip to Europa-Park and were very happy with the value and the distance. It wasn't close enough to feel super touristy, and wasn't far enough to feel like a burden to have to drive ourselves to and from the park. ||||I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone, and would stay here again if visiting Europa-Park.

Stayed at the Hotel am Westend for one night in mid-December for business. The room was very nice, clean and very quiet. The breakfast consisted of a well-stocked buffet with all the fixings, even eggs, and omelets. The staff is very friendly and went out of their way to make me feel welcome.

During our tour of Germany we stopped at Lahr in the Black Forest to see what had changed since I had visited it last while Canadian forces were still stationed there. In the past I had always stayed at the Westend. This time the only issue that I found surprising was that smoking was still permitted in the Bar/Dining room which was a bit disappointing. Other than that we found the accommodation comfortable and very clean and the room was quite large. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty as always. It should be noted that it was always my practice to walk extensively when in travel status and Lahr has always been quite pleasant. Again there were no surprises though in the truest sense you can never go home again as the absence of the CF in Lahr is very noticeable as there is a distinct absence of activity in the town. The former Base/Kaserne is now being developed and single homes are being built there which was a significant change. The town remains a very charming destination though I will likely choose Baden-Baden next time. Still, a good Hotel at a good price.

The Frau at breakfast (the owner i guess) rudely interrupted me eating a omelet with
"room number" said in a aggressive way. So i replied "good morning" 🤦‍♂️. I have seen better manners at a chimpanzees tea party. Apart from the grumpy Frau it was ok.
