i called and made a reservation, requesting one night in a pet friendly room (because the website says they have pet friendly rooms). when I arrived the front desk said they dont allow dogs in the hotel and directed me around the corner to the hotel owned by the same company, for pet friendly rooms and a lower rate. It was more expensive, visible water leaks, and dead bugs squished into the walls with a notice saying they have exterminators coming last month. gross.

I'm an IHG Platinum Elite member, and I've stayed at several IHG hotels over the years. My recent experience at this location was very disappointing.
The room was decent, but it's obvious corners were cut during the last refresh effort. For example, a cheap shower curtain replaced the shower door, yet the track where the shower door used to be is still intact. The floor of the shower was also stained brown. So, basically the bare minimum was done to refurbish the bathroom.
The gym cannot be used since there is no airflow due to the broken AC unit. See the attached photo of the ancient/broken unit.
This location also seems to attract a rougher crowd. A lot of yelling, screaming, and other unmentionables by customers took place during my stay, and the front desk did not seem interested in getting involved to remediate the situation.
Even though I'm a loyal IHG customer, I'll be staying at another hotel brand on my future visits to Georgetown.

Good hotel. Clean, quiet and had multiple DPS troopers staying there so it felt really safe.

It’s also pretty confident being right off the Highway but also quiet.

Not bad overall.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the outstanding service we received from the staff at Holiday Inn. We accidentally left our backpack filled with electronics, and the staff went above and beyond to track us down and return it promptly. We were pleasantly surprised by their honesty and efficiency. Special thanks to Housekeeping Staff for their quick thinking and attention to detail. Our experience here truly restored our faith in humanity. Highly recommend this establishment for their exceptional customer service!

I travel alot, business and personal. Love ihg hotels and am a diamond elite member. This location is very well kept and has really friendly and caring staff. The location was great, and the pool was clean and well taken care of. Staff was amazing and friendly and took care of all our needs. The rooms were nice and updated and we're very clean. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was great.

Way overpriced, not clean and not updated. Carpet in rooms was old and torn in places. We were there for two nights and they never cleaned our room. We had to ask for fresh towels. I did get to see the largest spider web I've ever seen in my life in the (indoors) stairwell though. Eggs were weirdly green one morning and the pancake machine didn't work. On top of all of this we found out that they charged us ~$100 more per night than what their own website was saying for the same room and nights, asked for this difference back and was told they would call us. They never did.

I think this property needs a refresh. Most of the Holiday inns I go to are either new or have been remodeled. Water pressure is terrible. And water quality is also equally as terrible. It takes minutes to rinse soap off. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Also in my room, there was a big drain in the middle of the bathroom which I had to cover up with something for fear of bugs crawling out in the middle of the night. And the thermostat on the wall does not communicate with the actual air conditioner so you have to go to the unit itself and adjust the fan speed and temperature. People at the front desk were nice though!
