The hotel seems old and outdated. The room smelled like mildew and it’s because the window/AC unit. The ceiling looked like it need to be redone from leaking and on my last night I saw a roach in my toilet. The breakfast had a nice variety and the location is great. Very close to restaurants and Walgreens.

This place was disgusting! From the musty smell in the halls to the roach in the bathtub, I will never be back. The walls in the bathroom were clearly water damaged. The caulking was old and yellowed. The couch and floor had stains all over. I wouldn’t stay here again if they paid me! The best thing that could happen to this hotel would be a fire. Room 237 - I give it a 0/10.

I would like to commend the entire staff at Holiday Inn Express, starting with the receptionist, for their excellent service. The room was immaculate, and housekeeping was both friendly and attentive. The food service went above and beyond my expectations. I am extremely happy with everything and truly appreciate the efforts of everyone involved.Thank you I am very proud of you even our kids are happy with everything.

I was afraid when I read the past reviews and was not sure of what to expect. Our experience was beyond expectations. We were greeted by friendly staff and we were offered snacks and drinks, for we travelled out of state and arrived early, yet they checked us in. The room was neat, spacious and comfortable without any roaches or bugs, as was indicatedon the past reviews. Many types of tasty foods to choose from and the environment was very neat , well sanitized and smelled nice. We are happy with our experience ? Kudos ? ?

I had occasion to visit Round Rock area. My stay was very comfortable. The front desk and staff were very friendly. The breakfast was very good and just what I needed to start my day. There are also numerous dining options within walking distance which I appreciated, and downtown Austin and the airport was within 30 minutes by car. I hope to visit again soon!

Anyone traveling on I35, this location is very convenient right off of the interstate. Walking distance to many restaurants near by. We had a wonderful stay here. Rooms are very spacious and super clean and neat. Newly renovated rooms and bathrooms. Staff was very courteous and helpful during our stay. Breakfast was excellent, so many variety of food options. Hotel is very clean and in excellent condition. Pleasant stay! Thank you!

So the following are reasons why I will NEVER stay here again or recommend it -
1. Room smelled like feet/muggy
2. Dead GIANT gross hopper (we were on the 3rd floor)
3. Sofa bed was as thin as paper, and the springs almost pierced through the mattress
4. Refrigerator was DISGUSTNG! There was brown/yellow liquid inside on the bottom.
5. Air conditioner made loud noises and would wake us up at night.
6. Room was HUMID. It was more humid inside than outside!
7. The bathtub! LORD! It had yellow or stained caulking. It had rust and the floor just looked dirty.
8. Restroom was also tiny. The door barely opened without hitting the toilet. When showring it would get so hot you felt like passing out from how tiny it was.
9.The faucet to the only sink in the room was SO hard to open and once it would finally open the water would rush out and wet everything around the sink.

I want to start off by saying that we are a family of 5 (mom, dad, 12 yr old, 2 yr old, 6 month old). We arrived at the hotel after driving for over 9hrs at 11pm on Friday, so we were exhausted to say the least. The following day we had a busy day with my daughter having a cross-country state meet, and we checked out on Sunday at 11am. I am saying all of this to tell you why we DIDN'T complain to the staff about the room. We just didn't have time to complain nor do anything about. BUT, for this hotel to be $200 plus the night is outrageous.
The only good thing about this hotel is location. The restaurants surrounding it are great!
