We have stayed here a few times to break up our drive from Minnesota to Illinois. We find this hotel/casino to be convenient, clean and with friendly employees.
Their food options have continued to increase.
This is not a fancy hotel or part of a national chain.
We have found it to be reasonably priced, with clean decent sized rooms. We only see in the room for sleeping anyway.

If a local wanting to visit casino , I would recommend, but for anyone to stay at hotel, I do not recommend. Rates are too high for the very outdated rooms, even with the 10% discount if you are a reward member.
Pretty entrance into casino grounds with decorative lights for Christmas & cozy lobby with tree, but that doesn’t match the rest . Rooms with a balcony surround a courtyard & they totally missed the mark! Why not decorate the trees with lights & make that festive out there for people to enjoy? Let the customer have an experience. Definitely a money grab type of place for very basic casino/hotel.
In rooms, Curtains do not close and have sheer curtains, see the pic. Telephone would not work, see pic. The paper on the phone is so old, all ink has faded off of it. Didn’t matter anyways, they don’t work. Dial tone but can’t dial out & no instructions because it’s all faded.fridge doesn’t work. We ate at the Mexican restaurant at the casino & had leftovers. Fridge doesn’t not cool, it was colder outside. The extra money we paid for a “premium” room was a joke . See pic for the rain forest water head. Small bathroom & shower. Outdated, mix matched gold or silver door hardware. Old carpeting, old dark fixtures & scuffed up furniture, dark room. Bed was ok, temperature in room could be adjusted & worked. Had hot water for shower & has a washer & dryer on floor to wash clothes. No complimentary bottled water’s in room, ($3 for water at casino) room has coffee pot & microwave. Room looked clean. Saturday $165 , Sunday $117. That’s with a discount & ridiculous fees & taxes.
Casino was smoke free, & machines were clean, which was a plus, quiet & quaint place. Not much action. Would have loved to go to the Christmas program they had, but it would have cost over $200 for 2.
Why would you have shuttle service after 4pm check in & none for 11 am Checkout? I have a hurt knee and it was an extremely long walk from hotel to parking lot ( even further for semi’s) . Very long distance from hotel rooms to casino for those that have mobility issues.
Jose Mexican restaurant was ok, generous portions. 2nd night we ordered out. FYI, No breakfast options for those staying at hotel.
Chairs throughout casino & hotel were old & some even torn. That’s tacky. Not appealing. Just looks like this casino is trying to hang on to survive. People that worked here were not too friendly. The young man that checked us in was nice, but I told him I had a hurt knee and our room was ridiculously far & the place did not look busy. Anyways, not the worst place, but would not seek to come back, especially due to the rates for what we received.
Casino promo for new players was $5 - that’s el cheapo

Nice casino, good size. Lots of slots and table games. Good restaurant selections with decent prices. Very clean, free soda stations. Non smoking, free parking. Didn't win any money, but rare that we do.

Find your tribe. Advocate for your place as it's your right. Indigenous Americans, including Latinos/Latinx/Latinas have literally always been here. It's all OUR land. Not just yours, white folk.
The literal dirty looks, aka 'shade' thrown my way while visiting out of town fam, and the gossip about me as the colonialists ate and didn't think I was listening was absolutely absurd. I will be back for sure because the campus/area/property was stunning but I'll wait for when I'm either alongside a man or pregnant. Because if you're a self-made independent woman, you're looked at like you're only there to seduce other players or staff and that, my friend, is f'n stupid old timey crap no one has the time for.

Staff were awesome. Super helpful.

Me and my husband came in 01-02 after getting married!

The staff was so kind and congratulated us often! They gave us great advice and were super friendly!

The casino itself was clean and in good repair and we had a blast!

The bar staff were very friendly and the drinks were great and at reasonable price!

Thank you so much for making our special day that much greater! Me and my husband can't wait to be back!

Top of the line casino. No smoking is the best. Went to the party on New Year’s Eve and had a blast.
