Had a really lacklustre experience here this evening. Service was good but the food itself was bland and unappealing, so much so that it seemed the sauce that came with two of the starters and one of the mains was actually the same sauce despite being three different orders. The restaurant itself has seen better days and we were one of only two tables in the whole place. Sad to see what was once a lovely choice for a meal out go so far downhill.

A. Boiled. Sock wud taste better
This has to be the worst chinese I have ever had , Singapore chow mein tasted of watered noodles in yellow food colouring , the chicken curry was again yellow water and onions . I was so disappointed with this order . Is the chef 5 years old? It was tasteless and disgusting ?

I can’t give this restaurant any less than 10 out of 10 , we have been using now for 8 yrs or more and have switched round other local and beyond takeaways now and then but have now settled with Ho Wah and go no where else 99% of the time the food is perfectly cooked and as king prawn curry is a favourite of mine this restaurant can cook prawns how there were meant to be cooked every time. We use it around every 2 weeks and they never fail ,Eamonn and the staff are polite and helpful , very clean
I honestly can not recommend this restaurant high enough and at my age I have tried a few but even though it’s a 24 ml round trip this is only one we use . I don’t use the delivery service myself but have met them while collecting my meals and find them good friendly pleasant guys.
For me as long as the standards stay as they are my self and extended family will continue to use this excellent restaurant , well done Ho Wah .
Oh and there prices are good so that’s a bonus in these times 2024 much better value than the chip shops.

Love & enjoy going here for a wee lunchtime meal with my sons. Staff are lovely friendly very welcoming. Always been a good environment when we have been in. Not had to wait about seated & served very quickly too. The portions are huge but the food is delicious. Could eat their starters spring rolls forever definitely one to order & try out. My eldest is Gluten Free & they always always adapt his meal for him at no extra cost so we can all enjoy a family Chinese meal together. Love this place can't recommend iy high enough.

Ordered a chicken curry fried rice the rice was over cooker and curry absolutely tasteless and the chicken was chewy, won’t be ordering from here again, completely inedible.. straight in the bin

Ordered carryout of chicken fillet Curry with Noodles/chips. The chips and Noodles were fine. The curry sauce wasn't very spicy, quite Bland tasting and thick. Chicken breast fillet? Some pieces weren't the breast meat.. Usually happy with the quality of their food not so great on this occasion.
Staff service was excellent.
