Ordered food on a Tuesday evening and it was supposed to be delivered within an hour. Took 1.5 hours and arrived stone cold every single dish apart from the soup. Ordered egg fried rice and we got plain rice with one small bit of egg in it totally flavourless not even a little dash of soy sauce or garlic powder on it to give it some flavour and colour. This take away has seriously gone down hill. They offered 20% on next order as way of an apology but I wouldn’t waste my money getting food from them again. £45 down the drain. Avoid.

Raw chicken.. luckily i have a toddler whos food need to be chopped up, or this wouldnhave been served to my 2 older children. The rest of the food was cooked, quite flavourless but i am used to the poor food quality dagenham and surrounding areas have on offer, all the food went in the bin as we were unablento enjoy outnl of fear we would find more raw meat. I spoke to the restaurant they were apologetic andnthe lady said a driver would put the money for a refund through my door since i paid cash and am unable to travel.. i made her aware i will be moving within 2 weeks.. so since i have not recieved my money back after allowing a generous amount of days, i am here writing this 1 star review. I DO NOT reccomend this restaurant. Imagine you order from uber or deliveroo and they refuse the refund lile they regularly do, or you are in the same position as me, paying cash and can not travel to collect your refund. Its not worth the risk.. plus if you dont have babys you may not be as cautious serving the food and end up with serious food poisoning..

Ordered usual duck in black bean souce and this time it was only onion and peppers in a souce, hardly found any meat… really disappointed ☹️

Only ordered 4 items, they forgot 2 of them, half my order missing, tried ringing a few times but it was just after their closing time so no one answered, and then too top of it the only chicken portion I got was inedible disgusting, couldn’t chew through it, quality of food and service is POOR!

I always get takeaway for me and my kids. The portions are always very large compared to other chinese takeaways. Max I spend is under 20 or 25. Always get the chicken chow Mein my kids favourite and king prawn for me. The king prawn chowmein is the best I have tried. Its very saucy with fresh vegetables on top. Highly recommend.

Made an order on just eat at 6pm, saw quite a lengthy wait time of over an hour seeing as the restaurant is maybe 10 minutes of a drive from me… the food arrived an hour and a half later, instead of receiving special fried rice I received some sort of salty gravy and veg soaked rice which was inedible, and the special chow mein swimming enough oil to keep a generator in action for a month, and to top it off there was a long black hair in my food, seeing as I have short hair this can not be mine! Avoid this place at all costs, there is nothing “Ho Lee” about the place ?

Our family have always loved Ho Lee, they've been here for ages now ever since I was a kid and now I'm 23. We order from here once or twice a month and they're always very friendly. We order by the phone and go to collect about 20 mins later and it's always ready and fresh. I would definitely say it's the best Chinese in the area.
