During my two-night stay, I can say that I liked the hotel. I would only add a few points for improvement:
• Breakfast was good but quite expensive, to be honest (at another hostel I stayed at previously, it cost almost half as much).
• They need to add a locker system for storing personal belongings. If this is not possible due to space constraints in the rooms, then it should be in a separate room.
• Housekeeping service: I was surprised that they didn't come the next day to change the sheets and pillows, take out the rubbish, replenish the hand soap and shampoo, etc.
• Good location, a few steps from the bus and train station, and there is an Edeka supermarket outside the hotel. It is possible to go to Aldi, although it is about a 30-minute walk away.
• It would be great if they had a laundry room.

Thank you for your response, but I must clarify and firmly correct several points you’ve raised.

First of all, the attitude and behavior of your receptionist were the very reason I left such a review. She was the one who waved her hand to gesture “come here” or “go away”, which was both rude and dismissive. From the start, she provided one-sided explanations, refused to listen to our concerns, and made no effort to understand our situation. If I sounded harsh, it was only in response to the way we were treated — with clear disregard and disrespect.

Regarding the room and occupancy issue:
We were told by your staff that adding extra guests to the original Family Room would cost the same as booking a whole second Family Room. That’s why, instead of paying double the price for a single room, we decided to book a second Family Room.

However, your staff unfairly refused to let us proceed with that through your front desk. So we had no choice but to book another Family Room through a different platform.

As a result, three of us stayed in one Family Room.
But the other room, which was also booked and paid for as a Family Room, was downgraded to a Twin Room — without any valid explanation and without compensation.

Do you understand now what exactly I found unacceptable?

Even if a Family Room is booked for one person, the hotel has a contractual obligation to provide the room that was reserved and paid for. Downgrading the room just because only one person is using it is a clear violation of that agreement.

I hope you will reconsider your stance and acknowledge this issue for what it is: a failure to provide the room as confirmed, regardless of how many guests were staying in it.

We were a group of four and mistakenly booked a Family Room for one person. Since we couldn’t adjust the number of guests, we booked an additional Family Room to accommodate everyone. However, one of the two Family Rooms we paid for was downgraded to a Twin Room without explanation.

The hotel staff told us, “Since you’re staying alone, one room is enough,” which is completely unacceptable. We paid for a Family Room, and the number of guests has nothing to do with the room type that was promised. This was a clear case of not providing the service we paid for.

Worse, the receptionist working on Friday evening (a woman wearing glasses) was extremely rude and dismissive, speaking in a condescending tone. It felt like she didn’t take us seriously at all — and honestly, I couldn’t help but wonder if her attitude was racially motivated. I never expected to face this kind of treatment in Germany.

On top of that, the pillow cover was stained, and the room was freezing cold, making it very difficult to get proper rest.

I strongly do not recommend this hotel. For the same price, you can find much better accommodation that treats guests with basic respect and fairness.

Very friendly staff. Hotel is conveniently located on top of a supermarket. With some restaurants nearby and free parking. The hotel isn’t the most luxurious, but that’s not what you should expect either. However, everything is tidy and sufficient. Airconditioning/ventilation works well.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience! The location is fantastic, making it easy to explore the area. Hotel is full of weed smokers and it smells everywhere. They smoke in front of front door and the smell spreads everywhere.

No cold water on floor as advertised in room .Didn’t / couldn’t find my booking when I checked in … had to hang around reception for ages for her to sort it out … apparently Trip.com fault for not informing hotel of my booking confirmation 🙁

A neat hotel with very friendly staff , very close to cafes, supermarts and railway station and good wifi. A walking distance from city centre. Had a comfortable and good stay.
