I normally would have given a great review. The building and furnishings were pretty nice and the breakfast was quite nice for LA hostel standards. But when checking in it felt more like I was a bother and imposition to them which left a bad taste in my mouth for the rest of my stay. I had to ask for linens for my bed and a towel.

I arrived at the hostel at 2,45 pm and the check in was at 3 pm. I couldn’t stay in the common area so I had a walk and come back. The same for the check out. After 10 am you had to leave not only the room, but also you can’t seat for a moment in the chair. If you want to stay in the common area you have to pay 20 extra dollars. Also other extra 20 dollars (as deposit)to have the key. The girl at the reception suggested me to just don’t have the key and come back before midnight. ||||The worst experience in my life:||||When I arrived there were 2 beds clean. One had pillow and blacker, the other one had pillow, blanket and towel. The girl said me it was the same so I choose the one with the towel ready because it was all set. ||Around 1 am came into the room a big man. He touched me to wake up me saying that it was his bed and I had to move immediately. First I was scared because I was there by myself and I don’t like be touched, then I moved my stuff in the other bed.||The next day I tried to say it to the reception and I asked to talk to a manager.||The manager tried to said me just sorry. When I tried to explain that it was not my fault because they set the wrong bed, he get annoyed. I also said him that when I asked for an extra blanket, the girl put it on the bed that was set, not on the other one. If I was in the wrong bed they had to say me. It is normal I go in the set one.||I said that is not a good feeling be by myself (my flight was canceled so I needed a safe place for the night) and be touched and wake up in the middle of the night by a big man with alcol breath.||He said that if I don’t want to be touched I had to book a hotel, not a hostel. ||This for me shows how not serious are these people.||He proposed me 10 per cent of discount for the next night (I will never come back again), then stay for free in the common area without paying 20 dollars (in the other hostel is normal stay in the common area for free).||I asked at least for a half refound. ||He said me he had to think for 5 minutes. ||When I was leaving the hostel, the reception girl asked me my debit card saying that the manager had to do something, maybe paying me back the night.||||I never saw my money back.||||||They’re not serious, they really don’t care also if it was their fault. It’s insane that I had to demonstrate it was not my fault and it’s not serious they asked my debit card data without refounding me. ||||||Never again.

建物の表に 表札とか それらしいものが無く 個人宅のようで わかりにくく チャイムを押すのに ためらわれました

周辺は静かですが 危険な感じもありません
ただ、１本先のユッカ通りは危ないので近寄らないように と知人から言われました。

スタッフさんは親切でいい感じですが 敷地内は禁酒禁煙 ダイニングルームは8時～22時オープン とのことで 規制が厳しめ

禁酒だと騒がしくならなくていいかもしれませんが 帰って ビール１缶くらい飲みたかった私にはちょっとショックでした。

朝食も付いていますが8時～10時だったので ２日間泊まりましたが私は食べれませんでした。

タオル バスタオル 枕元にコンセント１口あります

静かで穏やかな宿という雰囲気なので
朝は10時くらいから行動する、アルコール不要でタバコ吸わない人には いい宿だと思います

Sufrí un robo de USD 400.

Estuve 2 noches en este lugar en una habitación con 8 camas. (2 noches por que quería experimentar un alojamiento corto antes de alojarme por más tiempo).

En la primer noche todo iba normal hasta que llegó un chico a la habitación (él estaba hospedado allí), estaba ebrio y se tiró en piso a dormir, el sonido me despertó pero no le di importancia en el momento.

Al siguiente día me levanté temprano, el chico estaba en su cama y continúe mi día, fui al baño con mis cosas de valor y luego cometí el peor error de mi vida, deje mi morral con billetera dentro encima de mi cama mientras desayunaba.

Cuando bajé a desayunar solo estaba en la habitación este chico que había llegado ebrio la noche anterior, las demás personas estabamos desayunando en el primer piso y otras ya habían salido.

Regresé a la habitación, escuché que este chico se estaba bañando y salí al Hollywood Boulevard.

Quise tomar un tour en bus por LA, saqué mi billetera y OMG no había ni un dólar.

Rápidamente conecté todo lo que había sucedido antes y salí rápidamente para el hostal, cuando llegué busqué al administrador, un señor ruso y le conté la situación, el se quedó pensando y le dije que solo había una persona en la habitación.

Frente a mi cuarto había una cámara de seguridad, le dije que la viéramos y el me dijo que fuéramos al cuarto para ver que había sucedido, le mostré que en todas mis maletas no había dinero y luego regresó a la recepción.

Luego él me explicó que esa cámara no estaba funcionando para brindar "privacidad" a las personas y que no podía obtener la grabación de esa cámara.

Me dijo que el hostal no podía hacer nada pues ellos tienen lockers para esos objetos de valor en el primer piso cerca de la cocina, le dije que entendía pero que necesitaba hacer algo,solicité hablar con el dueño del hostal pero el no accedió.

En la charla con el administrador supe que ese chico tenía quejas anteriores, pero el me explicó que no podía hacer nada pues no tenían pruebas, lo cual personalmente me parece mal pues ellos tienen derecho de continuar hospedando a alguien o no.

También pienso que esta mal no haber recibido información sobre los comentarios de este chico, quizás hubiera tenido la posibilidad de escoger quedarme en este lugar o solicitar cambio de habitación.

En Booking no me permitieron hacer una reseña sobre el problema, al parecer el hostal bloqueó los comentarios.

Pienso que las personas deben conocer mi historia y tomar su propia decisión si se hospedan en un lugar como éste.

Finalmente tuve que dormir en el mismo dormitorio con ese sujeto la segunda noche pues no podía perder el dinero de la reserva, al siguiente día realicé el check out y este chico también salió del hostal.

Muy muy muy mala experiencia, se que tuve la culpa de dejar fuera del locker mis cosas de valor pero el hostal nunca me referencio sobre las quejas que habían tenido sobre esa persona.

Por demás es una casa de dos pisos, un lugar silencioso y agradable a la vista, cocina comedor todo muy ordenado y limpio aunque con un poco de mal olor.

Pocos baños para tanta gente, sería bueno renovar los colchones ya que son duros.

Hagan sus propias conclusiones.

I wish I could put no stars, If you're a woman you can try your luck but i would not recommend staying here the staff is very friendly of course but the owner is inconsiderate and rude he walked in on me taking a shower stood there for a minute then closed the door if you were a female would that not make you uncomfortable? He obviously doesn't know how to knock before he enters the bathroom he walked in on a female employee of his the same day and no apology for it at all. Its common sense if you're going to house female guests you need to knock before you enter a room it doesn't matter if you own the house or not if you decide to rent your rooms you need to be professional about it!!!!

Loved the food, staff, and overall hostel decor/cleanliness. The location was ideal, and most importantly, I felt very safe and at home. Also loved everyone I met there - staff included! Will be back soon 🙂

Great location for Walk of Fame, Hollywood sign and the hop on hop off bus. Clean and tidy, looks recently renovated. Only has one shower to share for all the people in the rooms that do not have an ensuite and only two toilets.

The Russian Management still maintains its rudeness. This guy does not care about you unless you are a girl or Russian. No bedbugs and generally clean common rooms and toilets. Okayish breakfast.Guy has some problem giving you receipts ( reminds me of another establishment back in NYC with mob connectios).Don't recommend staying for a long time.

Tip : 1. Free lockers if you bring your own lock. 2. Bring body wash and toiletries. I was running late, so I didn't have time to ask.
