Lovely place run by a really nice family. It's on a working farm beside the local church and they have a few activities for young guests and those not so young. My room was a very good size. I got a lift to the start of my days walking.

This place was a home away from home. The Gastfreundlichkeit experience here by the Bierschneider family couldn’t be topped. I felt welcome from the very first minute. I stayed in a small room which was cosy and immaculate. Breakfast was delicious and they catered for your tastes with their own dairy and freshly cooked eggs from the farm. The brother of the Altbauer took me to the beginning of a hike and they provided ideas and information for hiking treks. The family was always cheerfully friendly and service was personalised. I hope to return one day and meet them all again! Also, pricing was fantastic!

Although it is over a year since our stay at Gaestehaus Eck-Handlhof at the end of January 2014 the wonderful memory of our stay lives on. It was the highlight of our 6 weeks in Europe and a fantastic place to finish our travels. The Tegernsee region is beautiful and in the winter snow it was even more so. The Family who run the guest house are lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The whole place is immaculately clean and all the rooms are beautifully furnished and decorated and as other reviews have said the wonderful breakfast and hospitality is first class. A true gem of a place to stay at and our dream is to return one day soon .

I am dual German Canadian and this place is fantastic!

It is recommended you speak German but dont worry... their sons can speak English and or the neighbors can help.

The rooms are extremely clean like typical German fashion.

The breakfast isn't huge but you can eat as much as you want. Must let then know how you want your eggs.

My girlfriend and I love the livestock on site. Nice to pet.

I highly recommend this place for true authentic German experience. Will stay for a 5th time next summer!
