I just say that the staff was very nice and as helpful as possible considering the circumstances. That being said, Absolutely gross accommodations. The carpeting looks like someone died on it, which would not be surprising considering the numerous individuals hanging out on the walkways both upstairs and down - so night long. Smells like a wet ashtray and the doors to both of rooms look like they've been kicked in more than once. Literally afraid to touch anything and absolutely will not walk without shoes on in the room.

Staff is wonderful . I can say as far as Great size rooms and clean. It is quite at night. Walking distance with the malls and just next door to Denny's and other eating establishments.

This place is bad vibes and is horribly run! After checking in I noticed strange hispanic men wandering in the parking lot looking in vehicles… that had me on edge … there was a man following behind me and seen what room I had went into so I felt extremely unsafe as I am a woman traveling alone. Fast forward. I get inside. The room looked absolutely nothing like the photos, complete false advertisement! I flicked the light on the wall and it didn’t work (red flag but wasn’t a big deal), but THEN I noticed the headboard lights on both sides of the bed also didn’t work. This is when I started to look around and noticed the bathroom door literally off the hinges! The wall had splatter of some sort of substance, looked like it could’ve been blood. Walls were filthy and not nearly as white as advertised. Bathroom tub was peeling badly. The mirror had drip marks from top to bottom like someone had literally sprayed it and let it dry before I came. Even the bed had stain marks on it. Cable box had graffiti on it. Carpet had deep dark stains. I expressed these concerns with the front desk and requested to change rooms in hopes of getting a better one but was not accommodated. I decided to check out as I was highly dissatisfied…. Now that I am requesting a full refund for the 2 nights I am being accused of using the toilet, a towel, and leaving the bathroom floor wet. I did NONE of those things. Highly unprofessional of them to give me such a disgusting room then accuse me for simply wanting a refund! This is by far the worst experience I’ve had at a hotel. They had no problem taking my money and was very kind at first. I’m honestly shocked that this is the way I was treated in the end. I will be making complaints.

I felt unsafe at this hotel.
My family booked three rooms and each one had its own set of problems. From defunct/broken furniture, insufficient hotel ammenities, cleaniness of the floor, flat out smell; I cannot say a single room was worth the price they ask for a night.
When asked if we could receive an extra roll of toilet paper, the front desk smirked and said no. Actually she mentioned that another shift might have the keys to grab the supplies.
"Free Breakfast" is an over statement. I didn't let my family try anything due to health and safety issues I saw. Coffee tasted lime the soap they used to clean the machines. Everything stale.
Barely operable lightning was apparent in each room.
The Fontaine Inn San Jose is fine if you need a quick place to crash while on the road. Prices should reflect that. It should be dirt cheap for all its problems.
I wouldn't bring my family to this place and you shouldn't either. Do not recommend.

The worst experience I’ve had! Check-in was quick and easy, lady seemed nice. I now feel that was just an act. Upon entering my room the wall switch did not work but it wasn’t a big deal as I’m not a picky person, I got to the bed and then noticed the headboard lights also didn’t work on either side. The only functioning light was the corner lamp. I started looking around and was shocked. The bathroom door was literally off the hinges, there was splatter on the wall that looked like blood, the mirror was absolutely filthy from top to bottom, cable box had graffiti on it, carpet was disgusting, bed sheets were also stained. After seeing this and being told it was the last room I decided to leave.
The rooms condition was completely different. The ones advertised online were obviously very clean and had none of these issues. This is wrong. Had the photos shown what I seen I would have NEVER booked with them! It’s a scam! They have refused to give a full refund which I am now resolving myself.
I noticed that they responded to a previous review stating that if a room is unacceptable they need to know right away and that they are unable to resolve issues guests may have after staying. Well in my case I did NOT stay and they STILL haven’t resolved my issue. I am heartbroken and highly disappointed. Instead of issuing a refund they have chosen to accuse me of leaving the floor wet!

Sorry to give this a one star.
First, front desk: 4 star. Friendly and nice.
The room: 1 star. Floor is dirty. Water leaking in the bathtub. It isn't worth the money I paid. TV has lots of channels, most unwatchable. So many paid programs channels.
There's free breakfast. No fruits, just pancakes, cheerios, coffee, juice. Toast but no butter.
Plenty of parking. It's truck drivers' place. They are very friendly.
Totally not worth the money I paid.

Front desk lady is very rude and unprofessional. Do not expect good customer service, but do expect them to not take accountability for something that is their problem. I don't know how these people expect customers to know that the booking sites THEY work with do not book the correct rooms.
Instead the front desk lady kept repeating “it’s not my problem”. There was a man with her, who seemed like he wanted to see how he can help, but the front desk lady was very defensive, rude, and constantly yelling.
This is a problem that they need to solve and not something a customer should be expected to know about and then have to pay additional money for. I recommend staying far from this place. We are repeat customers and pay for our family to stay here when they come for a visit. This is the last time we give these people any of our business. Very unprofessional.

It doesn't deserve 140$ for this accommodation. You should improve : bed, hair dryer, fridge.The Fridge was smelling when I opened it, so I didn't put any thing to that fridge. Hair dryer was not working, bed is noisy every time I turn side way... it's acceptable for 40$ instead 140$.
I don't recommend my friend to stay there.
