I was surprised at the lack of amenities but the staff made up for it. From the check in to the room, everything was smooth. Ms Donna said not to mention it but I have to say, I have never seen a more involved manager. Even when she talked to the other workers, she said please and thank you. The lady checking in was Kiesha (sp) and was so nice. The room didn’t have a sleeper sofa, there was no pool, and there wasn’t breakfast. It was cheap so I didn’t complain. The room was clean and smelled good. The power went out for a little while but it came back on. I will be back.

There were no kitchenette/kitchenware or utensils available for use. The bathroom light was out with exposed wires. For light in the bathroom was a huge lamp that was on the counter next to the sink and the power cord hung over the sink. There was no shower curtain so the entire bathroom got wet during showers. The sofa bed did not let out or down. It was just a big hunk of junk in the room. I didn’t complain to the staff because they were already charging me for clean towels and they didn’t care about the way the hallways looked so I figured they wouldn’t care or they would charge me for changing the room.

We evacuated here from hurricane Milton. No one at desk for late check in, phone didn't even work to call anyone. Had to call the main line to have them call the service person. Very dirty room, couch had mysterious streak stains on it. I Lysol wiped the surfaces and they were still sticky. This is a great place for stragglers or single men who are just looking for a place to stay. Absolutely do not recommend bringing your children here. I felt so off put by the hotel condition that I didn't even sleep or use the shower. I feel sad that they let people sleep in this condition and then charge them for it. It seems like there are long term renters at this place because there are back doors propped open (security concern) and then random people getting dropped off and picked up to go to work or school. The receptionist was not kind at checkout either, looked at me like she saw something disgusting when it was just our dog who, at the time of booking, no one educated us about the dog weight restrictions.

Do not go here if you have a family and want to have a night of rest.

Since being in this hotel my experience has been okay not horrible and also not so pleasant either, with the staff and room conditions. I have been made aware that the staff member I made a complaint about no longer works here so look at God! The rooms can use some updating for sure (which is happening) the room I was in before was too noisy with the guests above it plus it smelled like mold or mildew but mold if you ask me! The room I am currently in has no heat I heard it conch out lol a few days after being in here, it took a minute for me to complain because it wasn’t cold outside as this is Jacksonville so the Fall/Winter’s here are not consistent as most States. When it did get cold though I didn’t want to have to complain about another thing! So I endured the cold room before lodging my first complaint for an about a week. The front desk clerk Naketria was present when I did, she did a maintenance sheet but didn’t offer to switch me to a new room or offer a discount immediately (I definitely thought about that). She at first also made it sound as if they no longer had a maintenance guy in my opinion. Then I questioned myself and said well maybe it’s the time of the day and she could have been stressed or frustrated with all the complaints not just from myself but other guests. She said it’ll probably be about two weeks before someone can get to it, me being modest I said that’s okay no worries although I was cold and desired sooner results. After staying in the hotel for a while and realizing that they are under staff being an empathetic being I had empathy and didn’t want to be a bother as I have made several complaints most got handled in an appropriate manner some not so much. It took a couple of days for me to realize that I couldn’t take it so I asked one of the other clerks for extra blankets I explained to him a tall dark slim man why I needed them and received them with no issue. After about a week I had to complain again as Jacksonville got real cool and the blankets only help when you’re up under them. Went down to get an update I let her feel my hands, her response was that she likes the cold so I said you’re darker than me you can take the heat and jokingly saying I wish I was your complexion. I asked if she can switch my room because she couldn’t give me an exact ETA on when someone will be able to get to my room after asking if they still had a maintenance guy for clarity, she confirmed he was still here. She showed me two on the third floor where I currently am, a room directly across the hall which was is not fully available as she had hoped, they are doing some updating and remodeling to it. The maintenance guy who I thought was gone “potentially” lol informed her the wrong part was shipped for the AC unit which created the delay nothing she can do about that! The other was located near a high traffic door which leads to the stairway. I definitely did not want to be bothered by the vibrations of that and/or sounds of the door leading to outside with people coming and going or people coming through the stairway being loud. It’s a hotel, people coming in from partying drunk being loud right not judging just being realistic. Those were the two available that day so she offered a space heater. I was hoping to receive right away or even that day as she made it sound by saying she was going to go and look for it now but the day went on and I slept in a cold room again. The next day after discovering there was no space heater after being told they had two in storage. I seen another room on the third floor, same issue with location, another corner room next to the stairway which leads to an outside door that’s actually louder than the other if you’re sensitive to sounds and vibrations can get annoying after a while. I actually slept on it for a day she allowed me hold the key so i observed the room throughout the night. Realized it was not a good match for my energy field. End result they ended up having to order a new part for the AC unit & got a discount on the room! Thank y’all for doing your best!

Positive: The first staff they had were nice. Negative: after staying there for six weeks, they decided to charge me $100 deposit. kick me out because I didn?t have it. Tried to charge me $25 a day for an emotional support animal. I called their guest relations three times. No response. Wish I could write more

The manager Danna has a issue dealing with the guess I mean old and new guess with her attitude I tried to use my fema to get a room Danna canceled it but other guests was allowed to use theirs I have mentioned time and time again about not having heat in my room the pests such as roaches, nets, bedbugs are horrible the hallways always dirty smelling like animals the grounds of the hotel inside and outside are nasty. She tells the workers like towanna to lock me out. She retaliate when you make a report. I will be calling the city I have type one diabetes I keep my insulin in the refrigerator to keep cool have a disability. Giving the manager the discretion of kicking tenants out over personal situations not cool especially when they ask just for a little time to physically heal enough to recover never missed a payment never was late on a payment at two locations then when I get help she cancels my reservation. Niki and other GM’s like My Lisa would always help the guesses we are all human none of us are perfect especially if they see they never had a problem with payments. I have been very patient with the problems with my stay such as the rusty microwave I had warmed my food up in that I kept asking for for 7 months especially when one of the managers said it’s just a little rusty it’ll be ok or my ac unit that flooded the room that cause a mold and mildew the heat part of it has not worked since I got in the room I be putting in work order tickets more over several times still have this issue the cockroaches that crawl around here bad but you give attitude about payments I understand this is a business but it goes both ways dealing with the guests she should do better.
