Harvey, IL||I did mobile check-in where I entered all my credit card information and scanned my id. The attendant asked me for a credit card and my id. Then told me he wasn’t sure if there was a room ready because house keeping showed up late, it was 3:10pm. ||||Smells like smoke. No breakfast. ATM out of order. No where to sit but the bed or a kitchen table like chair. The bed only had sheet and thin fleece throw. 1 bath towel for 2 adults. The carpet was moist and grimy. I didn’t want to take my socks off. ||||Even though we took the elevator to our room on the second floor when we tried to exit using the elevator at 4pm and the elevator was not working. Was working again at midnight. ||||At check out the attendant wouldn’t give me a receipt - claims the printer was broken. Says I could expect an email. (never received)||||Completely under construction. Construction mess everywhere. This hotel should not be allowed to operate in these conditions. I can’t believe Wyndham (or any company) would allow their brand on a place like this. I know I will never get my money back from this experience, but Wyndham needs to make this situation right. My dog’s boarding facility is nicer/cleaner than this hotel. ||||Note to self….lesson learned….read the reviews.

Le Quality Inn juste à côté semble être bien plus agréable ...|||English version :||Very bad experience in this hotel! The hotel is in a very bad state: the room doors are all badly damaged and there are white paint cuts all over the hotel. In our room, the beds were made without sheets and there were no chairs or hangers to put our clothes on. What's more, the fire alarm can be triggered by steam from the shower, which I don't think is normal for a fire alarm... In fact, it went off in the evening for no apparent reason. Finally, there was no breakfast and no coffee machine, even though they were included in the hotel's services (all Days Inn hotels offer breakfast, which is a chain standard). So it's a rip-off!|Wyndham should seriously reconsider this hotel's place in its group: it's unworthy of a Days Inn! The Quality Inn next door seems much nicer...

Nope nope nope!
Bad enough that Wyndham tried to charge me a higher price than advertised, but OMG-- what a dump!
EVERYTHING patched, worn, torn, wore-out not working...
No breakfast service as advertised, no working vending machines, no Ice, not even cups in the rooms! No hot water in the sinks, the windows leak, broken toilet seat, and more....
As if THAT weren't bad enough, the room had not been cleaned!
All they did was change the beds and towels!
One thin blanket and a sheet ON TOP of the bed, and OLD flattened pillows that looked like they had been slept on!
There was crud on the floors, months worth of dust all over everything, the refrigerator was filthy and had stuff in it, and someone had exploded something in the microwave- and it was ever cleaned out!
PLUS they charged the room to my card before we even arrived!!
When I saw the sign that said 'no refunds after 15 minutes- no exceptions'' when we walked in- we tried to leave- but there were no other rooms available anywhere nearby on such short notice.

The ONLY saving grace was the desk clerk, who was really nice, and even came to take photo's of the fridge and microwave... but no offer of a discount...
At least there were no bed bugs, the beds were comfortable- and it was REALLY quiet...probably no one else dumb enough to stay there!

It should be closed...seriously!
Where is the licensing board, health department or BBB

This was the absolute worst! The elevator was dirty with hand prints all over the stainless steal. The paint was peeled off the doors. There were gnats flying everywhere. No chair for the desk. Housekeeping didn’t even knock daily to change sheets or towels. Tile cracked in bathroom. Toilet seat too low and was t screwed on. And so much more.

Under renovation currently...
To the owners:
Lord have mercy! If you are going to be open for business while under construction, please use common sense. Prepare an entire block of rooms to COMPLETION! There is no reason to have guests in less than mediocre accommodations.

This hotel should be closed down! Or post warnings about the condition of it. The lobby entrance was shabby, and when we arrived with four children, very tired after a long day of driving, there was no one to check us into our rooms. Just a sign saying please have a seat, back in 15 minutes! We waited 15 minutes, no one came. Finally we got checked in, our room keys didn't work, had to go back downstairs to get working key cards. The hallways smelled strongly of marijuana, the carpets were filthy, and every door was covered with big stains, scratches and spots. The refrigerators in the rooms did not work. The bathroom door did not close, and the tank top fell off the toilet when we tried to use it. The tubs were dirty, and had big wads of hair in the drains. There were only 2 small pillows on each queen size bed, no extras available. The ice machines were broken. There was no free breakfast at all, or even coffee. No cups in the rooms. Family channels on TV were not working. For $90 per room, this was a huge rip-off and a terrible smear on Wyndham, which we thought was a reputable hotel chain. We want our money back!

Hotel is DISGUSTING!? Blood stains on mattress, floor, carpet, the fitted sheet & flat sheet, pillow cases, and the walls. Also thick white stuff on the cloth chair and on the picture on the wall. (Not sure, but it looked like a certain bodily fluid, if you get what I’m saying!) Bathtub is nasty, dripping stains down the sides. No drain plugs in the tub or sink. Curtain rod not fixed and stable. (Coming out of the wall) Shower curtain is torn up and nasty! Bathroom door was stuck open (wouldn’t move at all). The wood around the lock was torn up. Looks like someone has busted in the door. The entire bathroom was FILTHY! BUGS AND HAIR on mattress. Used bandaid left in the room. Dirt on the floor. Air conditioning leaks, room was hot and smelled TERRIBLE! Microwave dirty. Fridge didn’t work/leaking on carpet. Lampshades were broken and stained. Table falling off the screws in the wall (no back legs on table.) Wires coming from the TV and going into the wall were hanging out of the wall because the plate wasn’t attached to the wall. Very thick dust everywhere. (No way these rooms have EVER BEEN CLEANED!) Doors on every room are falling apart. I heard a woman screaming like she was being murdered! Fire alarm goes off whenever someone takes a shower. The Booking service told me the following on the phone: “This is a very nice hotel. It has a hot tub, Indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a free breakfast buffet. This hotel has a 3 star rating out of 5.” I asked him if this hotel was safe because I would have my daughter and my niece with me. He said, “yes, it is safe.” We were scared to death to be inside this hell hole!! We traveled 2 1/2 hours for a concert at the Credit Union One Amphitheater, and we walked into a hotel that made us think of the “SAW” movies! I told the desk clerk that WE WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT BE STAYING at this hotel and I demanded a full refund! Clerk gave me 2 more keycards and asked me to see if the rooms were any better, and if not, he would give me a refund. The other 2 rooms were worst than the first. I took videos of everything in all 3 rooms. This hotel has NO BUSINESS BEING OPEN! IT NEEDS TO BE BURNED DOWN ? ? ? I found a hotel about 20 minutes away, and luckily they had one room left. It was The Holiday Inn Express 13330 Cicero Ave, Crest Wood, IL 60418. It was a Beautiful Hotel! The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Please send the health department and the Better Business Bureau to The Days Inn And Suites by Wyndham, 16900 Halsted St, Harvey, IL 60426. I have videos that I can email to Trip Advisor. This all happened on July 9th, 2024. It is now July 18th, 2024 and my credit card has still not been refunded. The credit card company is filing a dispute with Days Inn and the Booking Service to get my money back.
