Fabulous local hotel with excellent central location for exploring the Rhein. Staff are exceptional. Fabulous breakfast and very comfortable and clean rooms with wonderful views over the river, valley and surrounding hills. Lovely pool. Train line nearby adds to the experience. Lots of local river cruises available at your door step.

This place is so quaint and beautiful. The staff are very friendly, and the rooms are clean and spacious. We stayed here for one night on a road trip from Munich to Cologne, and loved exploring the town itself, which the hotel is basically in the center of.

The hotel is located very close to the railway tracks, which made it difficult to sleep at night due to the noise. The room also had a musky smell.||Additionally, the staff were unhelpful and difficult to deal with when there was an issue with the booking, showing little responsiveness or respect for their guests.

Great, fresh breakfast! We didn’t stay in this hotel, but got to buy the breakfast (18 €, 100% worth it) as visitors, the service was warm and nice, and the food was great and from fresh ingredients!

Friendly staff work hard on a truly wonderful breakfast, in a beautiful hardwood and sunlit dining room. The rooms were same. We had the family room which is two that share a locked foyer, so we kept our doors open and it was like a small apartment. Generous bathrooms. Updated to look old, space is perfectly managed with built-in shelves and mounted lighting. No chargers or AC, but staff gave me adapters and the fans were enough. We were never hot and slept great.
I was thrilled to see they had a swimming pool and sauna. What a find! The hotel is located across the street from the boat pier, for Rhine cruises. Munzë tavern is open past 10pm and just around the corner, two minute walk. If you want to escape summer crowds and heat, head to Bacharach. It’s a quiet traditional village full of cobblestones and garden blooms, surrounded by Rhine Valley vineyards and sits at the foot of a castle. If you want to have an excellent stay, you won’t go wrong here.

My wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights with another couple while attending the wine festival in a town next to Bacharach. From check in to check out, we thought everything was perfect. The staff is super friendly offering advice on places to eat and things to do. They speak English, German, and more. While the rooms are older, they were all we needed for a good night sleep. The breakfast is good with many offerings. Parking is free outside the wall. While we didn't bring swimsuits, we were pleasantly surprised to find an indoor pool. The only time spent in the hotel was to sleep, to eat breakfast, and to enjoy a nightcap on the balcony with a view of the old castle. A truly humble hotel that scored five stars in my book!

A lovely stay in a very clean hotel. Excellent beds and pillows! The welcome was lovely and the hotels breakfast was ample and of good quality. We loved that the dog was welcome too. Our only comment is that the hotel no longer has an open restaurant, well not in March anyway, and an evening meal was hard to find. Der Krumpel came to our aid and is highly recommended.

We had a very pleasant stay!
We had a family reunion in Bacharach with most of us staying at this hotel. They were accommodating despite a large group. The family room is a plus - large with 2 separate rooms, feels more like an apartment. Bathrooms not modern but very spacious and clean. Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired.
