For a budget hotel, this is perfect. I travelled on a business trip twice, went back the second time as my experience was so good. Shoutout to Klara who did everything in her power to hire a taxi driver the first morning we worked. Didn't work out but really appreciated the effort and customer service. Other receptionists also were friendly and approachable, storage of luggage could be done free of cost which made my last workday that bit easier. Very well connected by buses to the city centre. Breakfast and coffee were available for extra cost, yet at fifty percent of the price of other hotels. Some of the rooms could be cramped for a taller person, yet everything is clean and up to standard. Thank you for everything!

Location is close to the motorway and this is why we made this stop. The view is nothing but the rooms are decent and the staff very polite. Close by are several really nice places to eat which is surprising. Stopping in Göttingen heading north or south we could pick this place again.

This hotel is good value for your money.
Rooms are big and clean.
Rooms are a bit dated, and I think they need some renovation soon.
Bathroom very clean and provided from all necessary items.
Check-in very good, and very friendly.

We didn't know the Hannover Messe was on and were very happy to find a set of clean rooms at very reasonable price. It was amazing there were still rooms available, especially considering that this hotel garni is located 2 km from the Central rail station as well as near the Autobahn to Frankfurt and Hannover/Hamburg.||||And if the weather is fine, it's just a twenty-five minute walk to downtown. Otherwise there are buses about every fifteen minutes.||||The rooms were clean and if you are in the annex upstairs, quiet and sufficiently secluded (512 and 514) to afford a good night's sleep, and sufficiently equipped (if you like liquid soap and shower gel) to get by. We always bring our own soap for our own preferences. Daily room-service is not everywhere available, and so we enjoy it all the more. As well, the shoe-shine machine near the exit is a nice touch especially for people wearing real leather shoes... Thank you! Those things make up for not having an elevator for the luggage to the second floor.||||The staff at the desk as well as the breakfast room were very polite and helpful, and we looked forward to their smiles whenever we came into the lobby. and were very helpful with information or calling cabs. ||||Breakfast was generous and plentiful, with fruit and cereals as well as meats and cheese, including a nice variety of breads. ||||It's on my list for good places to stay.

If you arrive by car, look for a cheap hotel with easy parking, and you don't care about traffic noise, then this might be your place. The AS is close to the edge of the city, but there is bus connection, which I found out later after I had schlepped my luggage all the way out there from the train station. Bus stop to go into town right across, but further away in another street coming from the city center. That hotel is even about one mile further out than the cemetery. Room faced the street, so rather noisy. Very small room, cheap floors, but bed and furniture ok; bathroom with shower also ok, though very small, and no window, with noisy fan. Breakfast was surprisingly good and quite rich. Tv in the room, not much else. Staff very friendly and efficient. There are two options, I think. Either spend a little more and stay in another hotel right across or in town, or choose a Hostel quite close to the train station, or the youth hostel. I was hosted by my business partners, and that was a rather poor choice by them. Fairly newly renovated building, but everything looks and feels cheap.

We stayed in this hotel for one night, which is run by a Turkish family. Room was in the annex with exit to the back yard. The window was missing a curtain, so people who parked in the back yard could look straight inside our room. I believe that some of the rooms have been renovated recently, however, our room clearly hadn't. It was rather a strange mixture of old and new furnishings, with the apparent attempt to create a "hotel atmosphere" by adding shiny golden fixtures. Room size was smaller than advertised on the net and was lacking a comfortable feel. The breakfast was a positive surprise with fresh rolls, freshly brewed coffee and other tasty items. Also the breakfast room looked better than expected. It's fine for one night, but I wouldn't want to stay longer.

A nice place for a short stay. Rooms are small but clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. If you need a short stay hotel in Göttingen, AS Hotel is hard to beat for the price. I would stay a night or two again.
