Went 10 days without power no clean sheets no clean towels no discount no refund and I'm still paying late fees and now get this My AC stopped working and I still had to come up with $160 and they said there's nothing they can do

I recently stayed at the this American Inn and here is my review. I like traveling cheap and motels are my go to when I'm out of town. Well I decided to stop and check in at this motel for a weekend. Now don't get me wrong I am fully aware of where this motel is located, but $65 a night for the condition the room was is a bit mind blowing. When I first entered the room, I could tell it was not properly cleaned. The floor was still dirty, the sofa was dirty, the tub walls still had soap scum on it, and hair in the tub. The bed and sheets are pretty soft, but the cigarette burns all over the very thin comforter is a complete turn off. When I pulled the sheets back, there was hair on the sheets under a made up bed. Now surprisingly there was no bed bugs! The room looked like it was worn down. Dirty walls, dirty doors, and windows. Dirty furniture full of cigarette burn stains. I guess the last person who rented the room was a dealer because 2 junkies knocked on my door after 12am. On the flip side the bed slept pretty good and I did have a key card. Ice machine is outside and kinda dirty. Honestly don't think it was worth $65 a night. This place looked like it had locals permanently living there.

I was there for about 1.5 weeks for work. It was a very pleasant stay. A lot of the equipment seemed brand new. I am somewhat of a clean freak, and this hotel was very very clean, even for my standards. Desk clerk was very nice. Relatively quiet. I travel a lot for work and this is great value for your buck. Recommended!!!!

Place is really good nice well kept and peaceful. I have been to other places around the area but this one I feel safe. Management is really good. I had a problem with one of the lights that was blinking they came right after I told them to fix it. They have a great customer service. The young men seem really friends and helpful at all time of my stay. When talking to him, he told me they are expecting new furniture soon since they just took over the property and I was able to see they have been replacing new things and making the rooms really nice and comfortable.

Me and 4 other friends came to do a 5 day visit to Houston. This place is really good, the staff was very friendly to me and my friends even though we came past the check in time (we explained our situation of why we were late and the staff was able to work with us and maintain our spot for no extra fee). The price is unbeatable, the room was clean and tidy, and as mentioned the staff was very friendly they even walked us to our rooms, and help us carry our bags. We walked around the areas looking for other places and this one was very safe, quiet area, and has a very convenient location. I really want to congratulate the staff for their great attention.

I'd say this place is good for what you're paying. This is a budget hotel, no bells or whistles. The room we got was pretty spacious and comfortable. There were cigarette burns on the bed cover and what looked like white paint on the mini fridge, but otherwise the place looked fine. It's in a quiet area and we didn't really hear much from the other guests. There was also a little stray cat wandering around the parking lot who followed us up to the second floor. She was very friendly. Overall I'd recommend this place if you need a cheaper place to stay for a few nights.
