I read other reviews and can agree with some of the criticisms in theory (gloomy architecture, potentially noisy, possibly hot). However, I stayed at the hotel on a week night in mid-May, and did not experience noise issues, and the outside temperature was perfect for having the windows open. The bed was comfortable and the room was nice. As other reviewers stated, the place is quite clean and the staff are very nice. I found it to be quite walkable to restaurants, but for my preferences (on this trip, anyway) I liked that it was a few minutes’ walk from the noisier areas.

We arrived late afternoon after a visit of the Technikmuseum U-Boot Wilhelm Bauer not far away and the coach could park next to the hotel. Check-in was straightforward for our party of 25 people. Although we prefer a hotel where an evening meal can be taken, we nevertheless opted for this hotel due to its location and the easy way back to the motorway the next morning. We planned to take the evening meal in an Italian restaurant nearby but the staff at the reception desk informed us this Italian restaurant is closed on Tuesdays. The staff was very helpful in advising another restaurant within walking distance and even made the reservation for us. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and the mattress is of the best quality I have encountered until now in a hotel. (I don't like water mattresses anyway). Breakfast is in buffet form and caters for all tastes. The waiters/waitresses are very efficient and friendly and we left with a good feeling. It is not that cheap but the price-quality equation is excellent

This is a very comfortable small hotel that is much nicer than it looks from the exterior. Our room was pleasant and roomy and airy, having several windows. The staff were helpful and made sure we had everything we needed - including some beer (there isn't a bar).an excellent breakfast set us up for the day and the harbour area is in easy walking distance. Altogether a great little place to stay.

Visited this hotel one night on a business trip. Arrived late and was friendly and efficiently welcomed by the nightwatch who checked me in with little ado. |Next day breakfast was good without any frills. Room was squeaky clean, spacious though not overly so. Good shower and bathroom. Parking in front of the hotel was without additional charge as was the WiFi. |Left the car at the hotel the next day with consent from the staff. Staff are very friendly and efficient. |All in all a good, clean and efficient place where staff make you feel welcome. Well recommended.

Nice hotel, clean and cozy. They offer free parking. The breakfast is just good average. It is a long walk to the museums. Very friendly staff. The environment was a bit down but safe. The front desk recommended the restaurant Seute Deern. That was a hit. Thank you very much.

Rooms are quite big, matress good quality, and the room with the Windows on the garden offer a relaxing view. Staff are professional and gentle. Good quality of the breakfast. Overall rating is in the average due to the price. If bit lower (the price) then it would be an excellent rating.

Very good hotel with very friendly staff. Room was not very large but everything was so good arranged that we couldn't describe it other than excellent. Stayed one night. Breakfast was good. Really nothing to complain about!

The hotel can easily be accessed from the station by public transportation (if you arrive by car, there are parking lots). The staff at the reception is friendly, the rooms are nice, next to the elevator, the room may be a bit noisy. Certainly a hotel that can be recommended despite the fact that it is a bit pricy.
