My mother had an unnecessary ablation procedure few years ago that resulted in permanent atrial fibrillation. Through her endocrinologist she had been prescribed an increased dose of Synthroid… That resulted in a racing heart. She had multiple stress test done where her heart was in perfect sinus rhythm. The nurse that performed the test called Dr. Ho and told him the results and he still insisted, through scaring tactics that my mother have this procedure done or she would have a stroke. The morning of the procedure, she was placed on a heart monitor, and once again her heart was in perfect sinus rhythm. The nurse that was administering the monitor called Dr. Ho once again to report the results… And he still insisted that she had the procedure. After the procedure, her heart started racing, and she felt worse… he placed her on medication that made the symptoms exacerbate. She then called him and he told her to get off of the medication… And she never heard from him again. No follow up… Just bill Medicare, and DASH.
Obviously, my mother switched cardiologist… New cardiologist told my mother… That she was the second person to come in with the same story after seeing Doctor Ho.
As a result of his malpractice, she is now on a pacemaker and medication for the rest of her life.

My spouse had an ablasion surgery in March and although the surgery has improved heart function there are “skipped beats and issues”. Left a message at Dr Ho’s office last Wednesday it is now Sunday and noone has returned with a call yet. While this heart doctor has a high rating for surgeries, his office staff will not go out of their way at all to call you back or help you. And given the amount of money this surgery costs $250,000 and the seriousness of the condition I would recommend going elsewhere because this has happened multiple times. Worst customer service I have ever had at any doctor’s office!

I did confer with the Dr. and Staff about my experience and their commitment to do better going forward after this dynamic change of restarting their business operation. With this I have changed my rating to average.

Best thing is that my NEW Dr. knocked it out of the park with fantastic results and aggressive planning/treatment with proper medication followed up by an aversion and successful ablation! Very grateful for the outcome.

Dr.Ho left his prior practice with TX Heart and Vascular network and went into his own practice. Between TX Heat Vascular it left me in the middle of not getting the prescribed ablation needed. The procedure was canceled last minute and both my husband and I took a days vacation for nothing. The new practice and old practice played cat a mouse on what was next. No apologies or anything from either.

I went to new practice the first day and it was a circus and then Dr Ho second guessed if I should have the ablation. It was pretty much a dysfunctional office visit as it was their first day in business - chaos with paperwork, check in and running an hour late. . I already had a second opinion lined up and the new Dr told me everything they should have done which they didn’t regarding the aversion and that they should never have waited this long to get the best results from the ablation for the A-Fib.

I am glad I took this into my own hands and had my back up plan in the works. I like my new Dr very much!!!!! and he is confident, well thought out and is getting some of Dr Ho’s other patients due to all the chaos. What I’ve been told is Dr Ho has over committed past and present which makes him underdeliver for the patient. 4.5 months wasted. I’m sure it will get better there because it has to! Best of luck in getting your new practice established and patient focused.

Dr. Trieu Ho is exactly the type of doctor that you want performing any type surgery on you, but especially one with the magnitude of a heart. He is super intelligent and knowledgeable, does a great job of explaining the procedure, but respects the patient's opinions and wishes. He is incredibly qualified, and I am thankful that I was referred to him. If you must have your heart worked on, I highly recommend Dr. Ho. You won't be sorry that you chose him!" I had fast heart rate AVNRT for over 30 years that stopped me from doing things I wanted to do because of fear of my heart racing. Dr. Ho has changed my life! I am free of medication and racing heart after an outpatient procedure. I don’t think I could have move forward with the procedure with out the compassionate clear understanding Dr Ho provided.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Ho for over a year now for a very unique arrhythmia, I believe it was caused by Covid. I’m an RN and I’ve been around a lot of doctors and I felt so blessed to have. Dr. Ho recommended to me. He has a calm confident demeanor that puts me at ease instantly… and a great bedside manner. It’s very difficult as a nurse to be a patient and sometimes it’s very difficult for a doctor to treat a nurse!?!
I have an arrhythmia that on first consultation was told that I would have to have a pacemaker… But Dr. Ho felt he could treat it. He did and it was successful! Now I have been a fib flutter free for over a year. We had a lot of issues, maintaining my blood pressure and arrhythmia in between the two procedures I had… Constantly titrating drugs,
and numerous Squad trips to Baylor Grapevine emergency department. However, anytime I placed a call to him after hours, he was always quick to respond and deal with my issue. He is an amazing man and physician and unbelievably skilled. I thank God for him and for the gift Of healing that he has given to Dr. Ho as I am a very grateful and blessed patient of his.
