I am currently staying at this location- it is technically “an extended stay” because I am here for 5 weeks but it is not my residence.

I appreciate the room is clean and the overall experience is that the place is quiet. It is a safe area and I have had pleasant interactions with the front desk staff and housekeeping. However there are a few things about this establishment that are different from other places I’ve stayed in for several weeks at a time.

1. The lights seem to be on a timer. On my first night, the light near the bed shut off on its own, and when I got up to see why- it came back on its own. Apparently there is some sort of motion detector, but I was in the room and didn’t know why the light would cut off spontaneously while I am still using it while sitting on the bed (which apparently is out of range of the motion detector by the room door). I ended up buying a small table lamp to ensure I won’t have to deal with lights cutting on and off based on a timer.

2. Similarly, the thermostat (on the wall) also resets itself for no clear reason. With it being the month of January, it’s very cold. Apparently the wall thermostat defaults to 68, but most days I have to tap it up to 75-80 to maintain warmth. Even then, it didn’t seem like the heat was cutting on regularly to maintain the set temperature, and many times when I checked the thermostat it would be again at 68 instead of whatever I had increased it to. So it became where I had to constantly check the number on the thermostat to tap it back up whenever it went back to 68, and I should not have to do that.

3. Hot water. Well, the lack thereof. The first shower I took after I checked in had adequately hot water, but soon after that it was tepid/lukewarm. I called the front desk after the third day of this (in the first week of January) and they confirmed there was a hot water issue. But since then, the most I’ve had is varying degrees of warm water- never hot. The water can be on max heat setting and will feel maybe a little less warm than the temperature used to wash hands. All except two of my showers have been rushed through because the water wasn’t hot enough to really be comfortable- on a few of occasions the water was just “cool” (not ice cold, but definitely not hot or even mostly warm). I’ve tried to vary the time of taking a shower so it’s not just a matter of everyone draining the hot water supply at the same time, but that doesn’t seem to make any difference.

4. Housekeeping. I was told that because I am considered “an extended stay” I am only entitled to housekeeping every 14 days. This seems a bit extreme. I understand not doing housekeeping every day, but other places change the linens and clean the floors at least once a week. Going two weeks with the same towels and sheets is really pushing it. Even the first (and only, so far) time my room was cleaned I had to actually request it, it wasn’t on schedule for cleaning even though it was the 15th day of my stay.

5. Finally, and this is not the hotel’s fault but just one more thing to add to this bizarre list, but there is someone who goes into their truck parked outside my room and will literally sit in it for hours (even all night) with the engine running. The sound of the engine constantly going is disruptive to my sleep.

Candis is the absolute best. Warm, welcoming, cheerful and above all PATIENT. The definition of a damn good manager in the hospitality industry. Walk you through questions, concerns... hell she'll walk you through just about anything.

Standing at the counter talking to her feels like Cheers... she literally knows everyone's name.

Good, attentive, respectful staff. Stay on top of maintenance and clean property even though guests leaves trash outside at backdoor instead of taking it a few steps to actual dumpster.
Walking distance to a school and restaurants. Minutes from grocery and shopping.
I would recommend. I would stay again.

I stayed at ESA in CHAMBLEE Georgia. My first stay was ok but the next time I stayed The hallways smelled television did not work. The young man came to look at it but couldn’t fix it. So I came back the next week I got a room with the television working but the heating system didn’t. Also the room got roaches and bugs in the fridge. Like I don’t know what ESA have going on but they not like they were back in 2022. The cost of the rooms don’t match on what you deal with. I come and stay because of work. When I get off I don’t want to deal with issues of a place that i am staying at. I will not be staying at anymore ESA properties. And the thing about it they don’t even compensate you with a discount or anything.

Spend the extra money to stay somewhere better. Haven’t seen the “24/7” security once and they don’t keep the hotel clean. They left a mountain of trash right next to an entrance for a week. My room had cob webs and the water pressure sucks.

This is probably the cleanest Extended Stay Hotel I’ve stayed. It’s quiet, comfortable, and convenient for my needs.

I was a bit concerned about the reviews suggesting roaches, but I’ve been here a couple of weeks and haven’t seen any in my room.

The front desk staff women are what i expect in great customer service! A lot of hotels in Atlanta have very rude staff but not this hotel, it was a breath of fresh air!
