Die zwei Punkte gibt es für den tollen Innenausbau und die grossen sauberen Zimmer. Der Rest ist keines Punktes wert: Drei E-Mail wurden weder vom Empfang noch vom General Manager beantwortet, der Wunsch nach einem höheren Stockwerk wurde mit der Einquartierung im4. Stock nicht nachgekommen, auf Nachfrage wird man brandschwarz angelogen ("oberhalb des 4. Stockes gibt es keine Zweibett-Zimmer mehr"). Parking ist nur auf der Strasse möglich. WLAN ist praktisch unbauchbar.

Beautifully renovated with all the modern amenities but historic charm. Comfy beds, best views, friendly staff. Only thing was the hot water wasn’t traveling to the top floors but I chose a luke warm shower over having a lower room view. They still offered a free breakfast for that minor issue. It was the first freeze of the season. The food and bar were quite good too!

We stayed at Hotel Settles in Big Spring, TX, for Thanksgiving 2024. The hotel has been beautifully restored and is the perfect mix of historical preservation and modern amenities. Our room was very clean and the staff was excellent. We ate at Settles Grill and had reservations for the Thanksgiving buffet. Both were wonderful. They also have a coffee table book for sale and on display in the lobby that tells the history of the hotel from its original construction through its downfall and restoration to what it is today. If you love historic hotels and delicious food, Hotel Settles is definitely worth visiting!

Spent one evening at at hotel Settles I stayed here because I had done some research and wanted to see the restoration of the 1930s Hotel! My room with small but clean very nice furniture super comfy bed. bathroom was perfect. the furniture was from the 1930s and beautiful! the brussel sprouts in the restaurant was the best ever!!! the atmosphere in the bar was worth making a trip and spending some time reminiscing. The whole remodel is beautiful !! the customer service is perfect everybody's friendly!! quiet little town!! I will return

I couldn't bring myself to knock down the rating for the room. So I'm choosing to explain it here. The room we were in and some of the areas could definitely use a spit shine and fresh coat of paint or deep cleaning of carpet. But that said, we didn't regret our stay at all! My husband had just read the book The Kings of Big Springs, and this hotel and the family who started it were mentioned in that book. So, of course, we had to stay there! We absolutely loved the history and the staff and the whole feel of the place! Only wish we could've gotten there earlier to enjoy it longer. Don't hesitate to experience this little piece of west Texas history.

Sadly only stayed for one night on a whistle-stop tour through the south, but I think I'll be back.|This is one the best hotels I've found in the USA!|Staff were all delightful and the building is stunning and beautifully restored. Location is great- in the centre of Big Spring.|My room was huge, I only booked a standard double but the room I got could easily pass as a suite. A spacious sitting area, plenty of storage and a good coffee maker with plenty of coffee provided. The ensuite was modern with good water pressure and plenty of toiletries.|The pool area is lovely and the restaurant is really good- the servers were so friendly. The bar is also very pleasant.|I left in the morning to catch a Greyhound which never showed up, so I went back to the hotel and the guy on reception was only too happy to let me back in to use their WiFi and rethink my plans. He even called a taxi to Midland Airport for me as my international phone wouldn't make calls in the US.|Overall, I can't speak highly enough of Settles- and Big Spring in general- both are well worth a visit if you're passing through.

Stellar option for an upscale experience priced similarly to chain hotels in the area. Do yourself a favor and check out this unique stay. Personally, I'm not a fan of the historic rooms, but it's an overall great stay no matter which room you choose.
