This hotel is first class! It was recently renovated and the owners did an amazing job in keeping with the original design of the building. The restaurant and bar were so much fun and the food and drinks were awesome! We met several people passing through and some who are locals and everyone were very friendly. The owners and staff were very welcoming, we felt like we were part of the Pitkin family instantly. I highly recommend staying at the Pitkin Hotel and enjoying dinner and drinks at the restaurant. Try the New Zealand lamb chops and the Elk!

The service and the food.is excellent! The food is flavorful, mouth watering. Oh, so good. I had the seafood pasta one time, cheeseburger with onion rings another time, ham & cheese omelet one morning, everything I have tried so far is delicious! The bartender was great! This is a newly renovated hotel, bar and restaurant. I can't wait to go back!

Looks like I can't review the restaurant only the hotel. We went to the restaurant for Thanksgiving. Pam was very helpful getting us the reservation. Service was excellent and the Bartender makes excellent an Old fashioned. Food was great and overall a wonderful experience.

Just stopped in, needing to eat something. Just shy of lunchtime no one else was in being served. Approximately 1130a. Had the mushroom Swiss burger. I'd have it again for sure. I'm even considering how soon to go back. First time 12-31 absolutely spontaneous.

We drove up from Gunnison and stopped in to see the newly renovated hotel and have lunch. The building has been beautifully redone from floor to ceiling, very well done. Our server Jelly was friendly, attentive, and offered menu recommendations. The extensive menu is impressive. We each ordered different entrees which exceeded our expectations. This is a restaurant not to be missed, and worth drive to get there. We'll be back and will look forward to staying in one of the rooms next time.

My wife and I had a disappointing 2-star stay for our vacation at the Pitkin Hotel. The main issue was that we were told our concerns would be addressed via email ([email protected]), which we sent during our stay (see the attached email). Unfortunately, our comments were never acknowledged, and housekeeping never came during our 3 night stay. After resending the email, we still haven't received a response.

On a positive note, the restaurant was excellent, and the staff were helpful. Pam made a special effort to greet us, which we appreciated, but our concerns went unaddressed.

Specifically, the entrance to the ADA room is located next to the kitchen, which was unappealing. The area was cluttered with trash, grease, and cigarette butts, and it was unswept. This made it uncomfortable to walk past and track that mess into our room, especially without any housekeeping service.

Additionally, the room itself felt unfinished. It lacked essential items like nightstands, reading lights, coat hooks, and storage for clothes and luggage. The bed was excessively high, and the TV wasn’t initialized for the promised satellite or streaming services.

I urge the management to take these concerns seriously and make improvements to meet the expectations they set. The place has potential, but it needs attention.

We came here three times to eat and get drinks and every time was an amazing experience. The staff were extremely friendly and the food and drinks were amazing! We will definitely be coming back here every time we come to town to visit! If you have never been you definitely check it out!
